The Final Showdown (Chapter Fifteen)

Splicer then swings his sword at my shin. I quickly block and smack his wrist with my staff and elbow his chest. I twirl the staff and smack his face with it and then perform a back kick. Splicer falls onto his back but immediately rolls back onto his feet. Once he's on his feet I smack his face with the staff again but harder. I then jump forward and perform a front kick to the chest. He slams back down and holds his jaw.

"Shit...you're good. You've been training...so have I..."

"Doesn't seem like it...get the f*ck up..." I say. Splicer stands to his feet and we go at it once more. He swings with his swords and I dodge more swiftly, I'm much faster than last time. I hit his chest and then his knee with my staff. He falls down onto one knee and blocks his face. I activate the charge in the staff and poke his chest with it.

"AGHH!" He winced loudly. He dropped his swords and fell onto his back. I look at him and see that his eyes are closed and I approach the machine.

"Alright guys, I'm at the machine. What should I do-" My sentence interrupts with a sword through my right shoulder...the shoulder that was shot. "AGH!" I yell.

"Jarahn!?" Jaden yelled.

"His arm! Splicer got his arm...how?" Lakota asked.

"Once I saw your suit's upgrades I knew that my swords would need to be upgraded to penetrate nanotech...and what else penetrates through nanotech other than..." His swords then turned into a staff and then into swords. "Nanotech." He then smirks.

"...How the hell did you get nanotech?" I ask.

"I got my connections...you got yours..." He laughs. I get up to stand and he kicks me right back down. I slam into my back and hold my shoulder.

"Activate first aid..." I said. I then pop off my back and swing and I stop mid-swing.

"Uh oh...is something wrong Pulse?" He asked.

"D-D-Delta?" I ask in fear and confusion.

"The blade...it has some sort of substance that has rendered you paralyzed..." Delta says.

"As I said...I've been training too.." He kicks chest in and I fly into the side of the machine.

"I-I-I can't move..." I said. Splicer punches my face over and over and throws me into the wall of the tunnel.

"Jarahn's paralyzed...he's beating him to death!" Jaden's voice cracked as he yelled. He kicks my stomach in and picks me up.

"I win Pulse! Me!" He yelled. He then slammed me onto the ground and things go dark. I can still hear but I can't see.

'I can't see...' I thought.

"The first aid kit has an antidote in it but studying for the substance he used, he'll need to use the first aid kit..again...but using the First aid shot twice in a row will be too much adrenaline...he could die..." Karen explained.

"HE'LL DIE ANYWAY IF HE DOESN'T USE IT! JARAHN! USE THE SHOT AGAIN!" Jaden screamed.

"Delta....first ...aid....." I say out of breath. I gasp for a huge amount of air and my pupils dilate. All the pain disappears and I feel a rush of strength.

"You alright?" He joked. He then went for another kick and I punched his shin down and held my hand out for my staff. I hit him multiple times with my staff and then hit him with a spinning heel kick. He slammed hard onto the ground and held his shin. "How...?!"

"Don't worry about it..." I say with a smirk. I then pick him up by his suit and slam my head into his nose and throw him onto the machine. He rolls off and holds his back. "You're probably not familiar with that feeling...it's the feeling of a sprained back...a feeling I've also felt because of you..." I say as I approach him. I go to hit him with the staff and he holds his hand out.

"Wait! No weapons!" He yelled.

"What? F*ck you!" I say. I went to hit and he yelled again.

"Please! Give me this fight!" He yelled. I throw my staff and I backed up to let him stand. "You are a true fighter at heart kid..." He says. He takes off his mask and throws it onto the floor. "Shall we?" He asked. I pull my mask off my head and the blood from my busted head, my nose, and my mouth is visible.

"Jarahn?! Damn it! He took his mask off..." Jaden said.

"We can't help him...he's on his own..." Karen says worriedly. The adrenaline gives me a headache but my limbs are still powered up. He charges at me and I've never moved so fast in my life. I dodge to the left and I start to pound all over his chest. I then uppercutted him into the air. While he was falling I performed a front kick and he was sent flying into the wall and he puts a dent into the tunnel wall. He slams onto his bottom and he holds his back.

"Doesn't feel so good huh? That was every day for me...after what you did!" I yelled. I then drop down onto my knee and feel my chest burn. The adrenaline was wearing off and all the pain was flowing in. I try to stand but my muscles grow incredibly sore. Splicer laughs and retracts his sword into his hand.

"I know an adrenaline rush when I see it...I just had to make you use more of that strength...and now...I'll win!" He swings the sword at my neck and I duck and sweep his leg, he starts to fall and I roll away. He looks up and he doesn't see me. It's because I was behind him. I scoop him up using the remainder of my strength and slam his spine onto my knee. "AGH!" He winces loudly. I roll him off my knee and fall onto my back. My heart started to burn and I crawl towards my mask.

"Guys...he's down...but, I'm afraid I am too..." I say. I slowly get back to my feet and look at the machine. "Damn it...the machine...it's ready to launch...guys...I- I love you...I love everyone single one of you...thank you for always...having faith in my dream...please call my dad...my contacts are saved in the computer...tell him I'm ...I'm...."

(Third Person View)

Jarahn's heart then stopped and he fell onto the ground. The machine then launches and shortly after...it exploded. Killing hundreds on the block and causing the street to collapse on Splicer and Jarahn. The tunnel then breaks and falls...onto them.

"This may have been..the best battle ever..." Splicer says to himself. The debris then crushes him to death. After the machine exploded, it releases a second wave of mysterious energy. The energy that may change the course of history. A change that will never make Earth the same...
