“M-max… I thought you were going to America?” I stuttered stepping back.

“Uh… I was… uh…” He looked around nervously until a girl stood beside his putting an arm around his waist. She was short but skinny with long blonde hair.

“Maxy  why did you stop? Oh hello I’m Kasey.” She stuck out her hand and I just stared at it, not wanting to shake it.

“Who are you?” I asked clear annoyance in my voice.

“I’m Max’s girlfriend… todays our two month anniversary.” I looked up at him broken. Tears threatening to spill from my eyes. Not only did he lie to me but he cheated.

“Oh… I’m happy for you… two…. I have to go.” I turned around tears pouring over and down onto my face. He lied, he cheated and the worst part was I thought he was great… I thought I liked him… I thought I loved him. For the whole time we dated he made me so happy, but the truth behind it was he used me. I was now getting angry as my cheeks became tear stained. As I was walking toward the door I glanced over at the table and Harry caught my eye. His face turned to horror and he stood up rushing over to me. Truth is I didn’t want to talk to him or anyone. I quickly ran out of the diner and down the street not stopping.

“Leila wait! What happened?” I heard Harry shout. I glanced over my shoulder and saw he was getting closer. My breathing was heavy and my heart thudding in my chest but I couldn’t stop, not now. “Leila please!” I ran and turned a corner tripping on a loose block of cement and sliding on my elbows. I hissed in pain as the cool air hit the open cut. I rolled over and held my elbow crying. “Leila…” Harry knelt down beside me and brought my head into his lap. He saw my cut and gasped. He picked me up carrying me bridal style to a small store around the corner. He sat me down on a bench and looked at me.  “Wait here please.” He said sternly before walking inside.

A few minutes later he walked out with some band aids, Neosporin, I bottle of water and tissues. He knelt down next to me poured the water over my cute. I took in a sharp breath at the contact. He placed the Neosporin and a pink hello kitty band aid. I smiled at it. “It was the only one they had.” He shrugged and sat on the bench next to me. “So do you want to tell me what made you run out like that?” I looked away down the street biting my lips trying to stop the tears.

I nodded. “When… when I was going to the bathroom I bumped into Max.” I looked at Harry and his big green eyes became even bigger. “He lied to me and cheated on me. He was with his girlfriend of two months…” I trailed off turning my head so Harry wouldn’t see me crying. “Why couldn’t he just tell me the truth instead of lying?” It was a rhetorical question, I didn’t want an answer. “Why did he use me like that?”

“I never liked him.” Harry scoffed leaning back on the bench.

“Of course you didn’t!” I rolled my eyes smiling a bit.

“I knew he was a jerk… guess I was right! Now come on I bet your pancakes are getting cold.” He out stretched his hand and I grabbed it as we walked back to the diner. “You can run pretty fast!” Harry laughed as we walked down the street. I just shrugged and giggled.

When we got to the restaurant I received a few worried looks from the boys but just smiled them off.

“Sorry for the long wait… here is your food.” She placed the food down in front of us and I smiled up at her. “Thank you.”

Harry’s P.O.V.

I watched as Leila joyfully ate her pancakes. I was so happy when I saw her happy. Deep down she was still my Leila I just need to bring that out. The lads and I were deep in conversation about the upcoming tour and Leila must’ve thought no one could hear her… she was wrong. I watched out of the corner of my eye as she made the little pancake people kiss, and fight and what not. I watched as she dipped one in syrup and pulled it out making a little rawring noise scrunching up her nose before biting into it and giggling. She closed her eyes and chewed the pancake with a big smile on her face when she opened them she looked over and her face went bright pink.
