Chapter 10

I put my head into my hands. “Zayn, I don’t even know.”  I got up and walked out of the room. As I walked past the front I saw Leila sitting outside on the porch watching the rain. I walked up the stairs and past her room. The door was cracked open and decided to just step in really quick. I know it was wrong but I couldn’t help it. There was a little box in the corner of her room and I went over and opened it. There were a whole bunch of pictures of her and her mum, also some of me and her when we were little. Under them was her bear Lulu. I picked it up and held it in my hands looking at it. It was missing one of its eyes and was still all old and beat up like I remembered it to be. I sat on her bed and examined the little bear; I could feel a tear roll down my cheek.

                                                                                                                                                   

“Harry?” I heard someone call my name from down the hall. I stepped out of her room to see Leila standing at the end of the hall. I slipped out without her seeing me.

“Oh uhm there you are… I just needed to know where I could find a blanket.”

“Oh I’ll get you one hold on.” I walked into my room and pulled out one of my blankets from my dresser. “Here you go.”

“Thanks.” She smiled and walked back down the stairs. I decided to go out back and sit on the porch under the awning. When I passed by the window again she was still out there alone with the blanket over her. I just kept walking straight past the boys. I sat on the chair and watched as the rain droplets made small circles as they hit the pool.

Leila’s P.O.V.

Honestly my biggest worry was how to get to work later. It was pouring and I didn’t want to go but I had to. Well maybe I didn’t have to I could always call in sick… I took out my phone and called and told them I was sick and throwing up. They let me off work for the rest of the week which was quite surprising. I looked up to see the rain coming down heavier now. My phone buzzed beside me and I took it out.

Babe I hate to disappoint you but this rain is really bad I don’t want to risk anything. I would love to come over but I also have some stuff to do around my apartment. Sorry love xx –Max

I texted him back quickly before resting my phone back down.

It’s okay. I’m sure I will see you later this week. Love you xx

I leaned back in the chair and wrapped the blanket around me. The rain came down heavier and faster. It looked like it was going to be a bad storm again today. I closed my eyes and let my head fall back.

 

 

Boom

I jumped up. I must have fallen asleep for a bit and waking up to that didn’t feel too good. I saw the door swing open and Harry rush out.
