CLEMENTINE

i started to follow him, that late night. gripping the wheel dangerously tight, seeing the lights pass by and illuminate my face. ethan was down the street, driving slowly i stopped at the stop sign. looking over at his black sleek car. he turned into a raggedy old townhouse area.

broken glass, trash/littered was everywhere. people were still outside smoking and blasting music loudly. minding their own business and enjoying their life. ethan stopped at a tall dirty baby blue building. i pretended to park at a random townhouse that looked empty because of no cars in the driveway.

i turned off my car and watch him silently, walk up to the house and take out his phone. tapping on it and pulling it up to his ear. and leaned back into his car, tapping his foot.

after awhile he sighed and nodded, ending the call he grabbed the keys out a little darkened flower pot. spinning the keys, he checked the door to make sure it wasn't opened already and unlocked finally.

i got out the car and started to slowly walk up to the blackout house, making sure not to look suspicious. i pulled my red hoodie up more and pushed the dirty white door back, not before a creek called out.

cringing, i looked around seeing everything was either broken or misplaced. beer bottles on the ground, cigarettes scent slapped me in the face, making me hold my nose. clothes where all over the place, dishes where either unwashed our broken into pieces.

i heard a creek suddenly from the stairs, i turned around quickly to see ethan staring right at my soul.

"clementine what the fuck are you doing here, i thought you were asleep. like how the fuck did you even get here? did you follow me, i thought you were asleep?!" he raised his voice towards the end.

i flinched, but then crossed my arms.

"you lied to me ethan, i know we promised we were gonna trust each other no matter what. but you broke that rule and i heard that conversation with your friend about some drug deal. like i thought you fucking promised that you wouldn't do it anymore!" i yelled out quietly.

he rolled his hazel eyes, grabbing me by the arm and looking straight into my eyes.

"and i thought you promised me behind that you would never leave me. but oh wow look what you did you left me and ran away to your lesbian lover tina. which i much say that she isn't the best human ever. she told me everything about you when you left me and i paid her each time she give me your location." he threw out harshly.

i stared with my eyes wide open, "hell yeah your little lesbian lover friend, took that money and left after you came back to me. she texted me last week to tell you this. but since we can't keep secrets with each other anymore, might as well tell them all." he grabbed my face and let go.

"you're coming with me to my car, we can get your car later. and since we are so far from home now, we are taking a trip to somewhere you might dread so get comfortable little mamas."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

it was awfully quiet, a little too quiet. no music was playing in the background whatsoever. just silence, ethan was staring straight at the road. hasn't spoken to me for minutes almost a hour after our little fight. biting my lip i watched the lights hit our car. as we passed throughout different neighborhoods.
