"Alright we're alone. Let's talk" I say to the figure in front of me.

"Sure but first let's talk on equal terms"

The figure reaches into their satchel and removes their journal and pen. They open it up to a page that is full of mysterious symbols and charecters, they place their pen on one that looks kinda like a stick figure and crosses it out.

As they do this their brightly shining armor dissappears and what is left is a young woman who looks to be about 20 or so.

"Sorry about the shadow armor, I didn't want anyone to recognize me for who I really was." She says calmly but with a sort of power behind her voice that shows the great strength that she can wield.

"My name is Susana the Stargazer, I am what is called a runecaster, a warrior that fights with a stylus rather than a sword." She says as she puts her journal and its 'stylus' back in her bag.

"Let me ask you something Rosetta, do you know what this is?" She points to the journal she just put back in her bag.

"It's a journal just like mine and obviously it carries the same kind of power as my journal"

"Yes but unlike my 'journal' as you called it your rune book has another being trapped inside, two to be precise. One very good and another very evil."

"Is that why you said it was my companion?"

"Now let me ask you another question" she continues completly ignoring me, "Have you experienced any strange nightmares or visions recently?"

"Yes, it's always of the journal sitting in front of me with a name being chanted, then I feel the urge to write the name in the journal."

"Did you write your name in the rune book?"

"Yes, it's what I always do when I get a new journal"

"I see, and in doing so you have linked the rune book's power to you and also both the good and the bad spirits that reside in your book"

"Is this like the legend that my professor told me?"

"Yes it is"

"Now how would you know this?"

"We have been watching you since we saw your name added to the great scroll"

"Great scroll?"

"Yes it is a list of all the runecasters, and is made of the very fabric of reality, it's where all of the rune books draw their power from. What gets written in our rune books is only temporary but what is written on the great scroll stands forever."

"So what is so special about my journal then?"

"It was made from the great scroll itself"
