Chapter 9

JAKE'S POV
Erika started yelling at me after I allowed Alissa to stay at the house for a night. I didn't understand why she was mad. I still hated Alissa and the only reason I let her stay here is because she had no where else to stay. She was only staying here for one night and Erika was freaking out at me. It wasn't like I was going to fall in love with Alissa again. By this point we were both arguing and yelling at each other. We were both pissed. And yelling wasn't going to help the situation. Erika started to run off. I started to chase after her. I wasn't going to until I realized not talking to her about the situation wasn't going to help. She ran up the stairs and into our room. Before I know it we had both crashed onto our bed in silence. The only noise was coming from Erika's muffled crying. We both stayed still staring at the ceiling. The only thing I was thinking about was wanting to give Erika a hug and to comfort her. But I knew that was the last thing she wanted. So after a couple minutes I crept my hand over to hers. At first my hand was just resting flat on hers. Until she clasped my hand intertwining her fingers into mine. We both stayed silence lying on the bed hand in hand. After a couple minutes I felt Erika moving. She was hovering over me at this point. Her face was lit up. She just stared at me smiling. Then she leaned in. It was very unexpected but I loved it. Her hand was still holding  mine but she had moved both hers and my arm above my head. We continued kissing until I stopped her. Her face turned sour. Even though I didn't want to I lightly pushed her off of me and released my hand from hers. She still looked at me as I sighed putting my head in my hands.
J: We can't keep doing this.
E: Wha- what. What are you talking about.
J: We can't keep arguing and then just have sex and not talk about it. We can't keep doing that. Think almost every time we argue we end up having sex and then we just forget it. For us to have a healthy relationship we have to be able to talk through our problems. Not just have sex and forget about it.

Erika sighed and looked over at me.
E: Your right. We have to be able to talk through our problems. I'm sorry Jake. I shouldn't have over reacted. Alissa is only staying here for a night. And I can handle that.
J: And Erika...
E: Yes
J: I love you.
E: Forever and Always.
Erika and I hugged each other for a couple seconds then released.
E: But Jake you have to promise me one thing.
J: Okay.
E: Promise that you won't fall in love with Alissa.
I started to laugh.
E: It's not funny Jake. This is serious.
J: Okay... Okay I promise. Besides your the only one for me. Your mine.
