Chapter 17

Erika's POV
It was already one more day until we flew back to LA. Though today was filled with activities this weekend trip has flown by. Jake and I have already so much fun together and doing things. Today was the day we looked at apartments or maybe houses. Originally we were only going to look at apartments but now that both of us agreed that we want to have a family at one point we decided to also look at houses. I was now waiting for Jake to finish getting ready. I know he takes literally forever. Everyone thinks it's me but trust me it's Jake. By the time he was done we were late to our first apartment viewing. Great. We got in the Uber and headed there as fast as we could.
J: You excited?
E: I would be if we weren't late.
I looked at him with annoyed eyes. I was just trying to give him a hard time. I wasn't actually mad.
J: Well I'm sorry I take to long. It's not my fault that you scheduled the viewing .
E: Babe Jake I was just kidding I'm not mad at you I was trying to give you a hard time.
I laughed as he stared at me. Though I knew he wasn't that mad he was just... annoyed. Sooner rather then later we reached our first destination. Jake and I walked out the Uber thanking them and walked into the complex. It wasn't huge which mean't that there wouldn't be too many people. Which was good. Our tour leader came up to us and we greeted.
TL: Hi you must Jake and Erika yes?
J/E: Yes. Nice to meet you.
I shook her hand and then she lead us up the staircase. The complex was very nice overall. Bright, airy, and not busy at all. Plus there seemed to be no sketchy people around the area which was very important. The apartment was smaller then expected. One master bedroom, a small bathroom, a living room with no view, and a small kitchen. I was honestly disappointed cause this was the perfect area but just not the perfect apartment. We told the tour leader afterwards that we weren't really interested but appreciated the help. With that we left and continued our search.

After many hours of searching Jake and I were pretty certain we had found the right place. It was an apartment but it was pretty big. A huge master bedroom, master bathroom, beautiful living room with a window to see an amazing view, large kitchen, guest room, and guest bathroom. After telling the tour leader we are indeed interested. We decided to head back to our hotel and make our final decisions. As I flopped down on the large bed of the hotel room Jake began to speak.
J: So what do you think?
I sat up so I could face him easier but then Jake pulled me onto his lap.
E: Well... I think the second to last apartment we saw was the best one.
J: Okay good cause I was thinking the same thing.
E: So you think we should go for it?
J: Yeah I think so.
E: Okay then I'll call them tomorrow.
J: Why not now?
E: So I can do this...
I began to lean in. Our lips touched and moved in perfect sync. We stayed like that for a couple minutes until we both released for air. Then Jake fell down and collapsed to the bed. Mind you I was still on his lap. So I fell with him. So now I was laying on top of him. I buried my head into his neck. Wanting to stay like this forever.
