Above: Yours truly, inside a simulation of the Antarctic environment in the Antarctic Centre, Christchurch, New Zealand. It was a very chilly minus 26 degrees.The mock storm they set up is a very realistic experience.
Above: Six months after the earthquake and many of the churches in Christchurch looked like this one, on the corner of Riccarton Rd, near our hotel, a short walk from the city centre.
