The Forgotten Scott

Chapter 6 Episode 3

*Riley's POV*

I'm on the side lines because I fell and twisted my shooting wrist because Nathan pushed me to grab the ball, so as om sitting on the sidelines to look up and see that Jake passed the ball to Lucas and I see him make the three pointer that wins the game for the Ravens. I hear everybody cheering as the announcer try's to say something like look out there's two new Scotts in town but I wasn't quite sure what he said because the gym was way too loud. I went over to Karen and Keith for two reasons, to congratulate Lucas and grab my brothers from her. And as we were talking she was called over by a lady who was super cheery like almost two cheery and started talking to her about joining the Booster club. She then came over to me.

"Hey, Riley right, I was wondering if your mommy was here so I can talk to her."

"Um, no she's out right now getting some pampers for all us kids." I remarked.

"Well when she ever comes to a game can you please tell her to come over and talk to me."

"Sure thing." I said mimicking her perkiness. I head to my car following my little brothers. as i get to my car i see that Lucas parked right next to me and see that one of the cheerleaders was half naked in the backseat of his car. I run over and pretty much shove my brothers into the car because they are too young to be seeing that. Then as i shut the door and cover the window Whitey comes up to me.

"You need to drag your scrawny butt to the weight room twice a day. Just like your brother over there." Whitey shared.

"Um, I'm sorry. What was that last part?" I said.

" Well it doesn't take an idiot to know that all the Scott kids are Dan's. Especially when he comes into my office and starts yelling at me about the two new kids on the team. Don't worry though I haven't told anybody. That's your secret to share not mine."

"Thank you coach." I give him a hug. As soon as I see that the cheerleader was changed i walked up to Lucas's window and knocked on the window.

"Hey Lucas, you know that whole thing that happened after our first game."

"The part where he told you that you looked like your mom, and pretty much told you that he was your dad." Lucas guessed.

"I was trying to be discreet about it but yeah."

"Ok what about it though?''

"Whitey knows about it. And I'm guessing the whole school will now too." i say as i glance to the cheerleader as she gave me a quick wave.

"It was bound to get out some point." Lucas explained.

"Yeah but i didn't want it coming out now." I said as i walked to my car. I drove off to the hotel room and slept it off.

*Tomorrow at school*

I get into schools and it feels like everybody is looking at me. I walk by Nathan and his friends and they just laugh at me. Nathan stops me.

"So why did you even come to Tree Hill was it to make my life a living hell or was it to make a fool of yourself, I'd think it would be the second one because your just a little nobody who can do anything."

"Nathan please just leave me alone i don't really want to deal with you today." I just walked away

As we were walking down the halls to get to the library I saw Lucas running around with balls around his waist covering things that nobody wanted to see as Whitey was walking by. I ran up to the coach.

"Hey Coach, i was wondering off there was anytime after practice i could go to the weight room because i wasn't able to go during free period because i was late to school because my brother Carter was sick and i had to find him a babysitter around and I'm going to go at lunch." I blabbered on and on about the weight room so i could give Lucas a sign that he should go back to the locker room and I'll give him clothes. He ran into the locker room. Luckily when he was helping me babysit my brothers the other day he brought extra clothes over in case he fell asleep, he didn't fall asleep but he did accidentally leave the clothes at my house, and i was planning on giving him today. He ran out and thanked me.

*At practice*

I was shooting three pointers with Lucas, him and I were making all of the shots. When Lucas started telling me about how the teams hazing him. I just laughed about it because i had to help him earlier.

"I wouldn't get too worried, if anything be proud of it they are finally being accepted in the team, I wish I would be getting hazed right now because that's better than being invisible on the team like i am." i explained.

"Wait your right you are invisible. where did you go." Lucas joked.

"Haha very funny." i said as i flicked him.

"Whatever you say, sis."

"Did you just call me sis."

"Yeah. That was weird wasn't it."

"Yeah pretty weird, lets just agree not to do that again.''

"Sounds good." Lucas said.

*Later at the Hotel room*

"Hey mom, yeah everything's going good, Carter just got sick and I got him a babysitter so i could go to school." 30minuates later i was done talking to my mom. and went to bed. I still haven't told her I met my real dad but that was because I didn't think that was going to be a good phone call.

*Next Day*

I was talking to Haley and learned they'd be going to the movies together so I decided id go with. Karen and Keith said they'd watch my brothers so i can have a free night without them. I was walking with Lucas down an alley way when all of the sudden a car pulled up behind us. People ran up behind us and put bags on our heads and threw us into the car. After about a thirty minute drive the car stopped and Lucas and i were pulled out of the car. They took the bags off our heads and threw both of us into this little marshy area. I was so repulsed by this. I felt like throwing up. I stood up next to Lucas.

"Look the gangs all here. I told you guys its gonna get worse. Now, see, normally this is when you become apart of the team. We'd have a keg, tell some war stories. But you guys had to know that wasn't gonna happen, right? Look, these guys made a choice to back me. but we're gonna be nice and we're gonna let you walk away. Just quit the team you guys. Otherwise its going to get ugly." Nathan said, and walked away. Lucas flung some of the water off his shirt. I turned around and threw up because that was disgusting. Why couldn't they have just left me alone i haven't done anything to them? Lucas and i walk back to his house.

"You can take a shower then just crash in the guest room if you want." Lucas said.

"Thank you." I took the longest shower ever trying to clean up from all that nastiness. Then i went to thee guest room where my brothers were and passed out in the middle of two of them.

*Practice The Next Day*

We were running around doing a scrimmage. And Lucas and i were on the same team and we kept getting open but nobody would pass to us so Lucas got fed up and stole the ball from Tim and dunked the ball.

He yelled at Tim but i didn't really pay attention to him. Then Whitey yelled at Lucas for this being a team game.

"If you guys don't get your heads out of your asses, i might be forced to suspend my second team of the season. Go home you guys." Whitey yelled.Jake walks over to us.

"SO much for taking the high road." Jake explained.

*next day at burning Boat*

I take my brothers to the burning boat ceremony, we brought our stuff to throw in the boat, Carter brought his shoes that he swore to be unlucky, Conner brought his deflated football, and i brought my box of pictures of exes and frenemies that I've vowed to swear off this year with my Scott name take stitched onto this box. Lucas comes over.

"Guess we had the same idea." he pointed at the name tag. I just laughed.

"Yep."
