It's been seventeen days since I rang my mom, I've seen Daniel twice in those seventeen days, I've seen Corbyn five times. For some reason corbs always manages to find free time to see me, I'm not saying Daniel doesn't, we really on seen each other late at night. We just became distant.
I took my moms advice on talking to people and by people I mean Corbyn and Alice, she's a therapist, she helps with the pressure of things and she's actually one of my moms friends.
Today I have a free day, the only person that is free is joey but I'm not complaining.
"So what are we doing today?" I asked joey who was cooking pancakes for us both
"Well it is 9:30am, so we definitely have the whole day, what would you like to do?" He smiled
"I don't want to go shopping" I shook my head
"I didn't even suggest that!" He turned off the frying pan
"Lets go on a road trip to Malibu" I smiled
"We sure can" he placed a plate in front of me

We pulled up into the parking lot after roughly about fifty minutes of driving we had reached Malibu beach.
"Joey! Take a photo!"
"Alright" he took my iPhone

"So we have got here, what shall we do?" Joey asked
"C'mon joe! Be spontaneous, let's explore" I exclaimed
"You want to do that?" I nodded "turn your phone off" he smirked, I hesitated at first before sliding the bar across my screen
"Now your turn" he turned his phone off "now to the shops!" I started running
"You said you didn't want to go shopping!" He shouted running after me
"That was before I was in Malibu!"
We walked into a store calmly, I looked around to see it was a local store filled with aesthetic items for rememberable moments. I picked up a little boat with handwritten 'Malibu' on the side
"Are you going to get it?" Joey asked admiring the boats as well
"Yeah but this makes me want to go fishing" I flashed him a smile
"Anything the queen wishes" I laughed walking up to the counter. Joey brought a bracelet for Bella as well as Sam so she wasn't left out, I'm glad I found Joey when I did, he just fits our group, outgoing, kind, selfless and meaningful.
After the store we walked to a pretty big cafe on the pier, I ordered a coffee which made me think of Jonah.
"Is it nice?" He asked with his phone out filming me
"Joey!" I scolded "we weren't having phones out"
"I know, I know but you looked adorable and I had to show Bella" he switched his phone off and put it back in his pocket
"I'll let you off this time" I took a sip from my drink.

After spending a successful day at Malibu with joey, I feel much more relaxed and stress free. We got home at 12:00am. Once we had got in Bella and Sam were still up on the couch
"Hey! How was your destressing day?" Sam asked as I was slipping my shoes off
"It was good" I smiled
"I got you two something" joey handed each of them a gift bag
"I love it!" Bella squealed
"I actually like this, thank you" Sam said slipping her bracelet on
"I am tired" joey yawned "so I am going to bed"
"I'm going to night" Bella and Joey walked up the stairs left Sam and I to wonder in a conversation of our own
"You know Evie's here right?" Sam asked
"No I didn't" I raised my eyebrows "alone or?"
"Alone" she shrugged but had concern laced in her voice "I think she broke up with Jonah"
"How can you tell?"
"She walked in at about 7, walked straight to the fridge, grabbed the ice cream and walked straight to the stairs" she flickered her eyes from the tv to me
"I'll talk to her in the morning, she's probably sleeping" I smiled
"So"
"So what?"
"What did you do today?" She turned the tv off turning her attention to me
"We got there" she nodded "went to the shops" she nodded "went to a cafe on the pier" she nodded "went to the rocky cliff bit, nearly fell off" she gasped
"You never!" She said being dramatic, I nodded
"And then we chilled on the beach for the rest of the day" I finished it off
"And you couldn't do that here? In L.A?"
"I want to explore, have an adventure, be you for a day" I smiled
"Well next time make sure I'm free and I'll come too" she looked at her phone "oh yeah, I'd check your phone"
I turned on my phone for the first time I turned it off, seeing I had twenty missed calls from Corbyn and nearly one hundred text messages, ten missed calls from Jonah and two text messages and a few messages from Sasha regarding the work for tomorrow, I sighed and rang Jonah back first
