"I'm what, Runa?" Hyunra commented, pulling the book from her messenger bag. "Just someone who hunts and collects weird potions, really. I suppose you can check it out sometime, but not here in this excuse of a place." She chuckled, replacing the thing.
Lifting Kaede into her arms, the girl with the goggles headed up the flight of stairs that led aboveground, turning into a nearby road. She headed down the street briefly lit by the occasional lamp post, too preoccupied to care where Sync was.
Runa, completely confused, followed after the woman who had lifted up Kaede's limp body as if it were nothing. She only halted to retrieve her rifle and quickly fell into step behind Hyunra.
"Hey, what about Sync? Don't you think we should ask before assuming he'll let Kaede recover at his place?" Runa blurted out. She wanted Kaede to recover quickly and if it meant using someone else's place that was fine by her. Even so, she still had standards, one of which was to ask permission first. Although, she was pretty sure the boy would have declined... what made her think that though was her rash actions. She winced inwardly at the thought.
"Sync's place?" Hyunra turned around, halting in her tracks. "It's just an old school where he hangs with the informant, really. If anyone was to actually have ever owned the place... Well, no one does." She mumbled, remembering the assortment of twists and turns within the school, each leading to a different series of rooms.
"Besides, there are many spots to go around. That kid probably wouldn't even notice if it had to go that way, but he'll deal."
"So pleasant," Runa muttered to herself as she kept pace. Even she realized the danger of losing Hyunra in such a place. One wrong turn and who knew how long it would take for her to find her way back out. Briefly she wondered where Sync was anyway. After they'd split up, she'd not seen him, nor had she thought to call out for him once she'd met up with Kaede and the mysterious girl.
"Ah." Hyunra crossed the last road, heading through the rusting gates of the school. She had began to wonder where Sync was, eventually. Though his intercom had been turned off, the girl figured that since nothing had exactly roused what remained of the town's tranquility, Sync would be alright. She led Runa through numerous corners and flights of stairs, once again wondering to herself who would've built a school to be the way it was.
"I see you've got company." Micah greeted the girl as she entered the classroom where a fireplace had been lit, his reddish hair messily brushed to a side and glowing slightly amber in the flame light. He was seated on the table, the dark haired boy sprawled out on a pile of beanbags before him. "Sync decided to crash, 'was beat." He explained, waving the three newcomers in.
Runa let out a sigh as her gaze settled on the boy who looked as if he'd just let his body fall onto the bags beneath him and hadn't moved since. Glancing up from Sync's form she lifted an eyebrow at the man who greeted them.
"Thanks for letting us stay," she muttered flicking her eyes about the room, "When he's healed up we'll leave so as not to burden you anymore. Though I must say, I'm glad to know that there are more people out and about hunting the darkness like we are. I was seriously beginning to wonder."
"Wonder, eh?" His dark gaze shifted from Runa, to Kaede and finally Hyunra. "It's fine, in any case. Hyunra, I hope you got the antidote..."
The girl nodded, fishing it out of her bag along with the book. Laying both items on a stray table that might have once been painted bright yellow, the girl returned to her original stance.
"Pick any place you wish." Micah said, standing up.
"Pick... any place?" Runa repeated confused. She glanced around and decided that the couch would be a good a place as any if he was referring to taking a seat, "Hyunra, you can put Kaede there, I guess..." she said pointing towards it. Her eyes settled on a chair near the couch and slightly towards the corner, a good spot for her to sit so she could see everyone in the room.
