The Eight

We wake up to an ear bleeding alarm. "What is that!?" Morgan yells.

"An intruder alarm. We had them installed last year! This is the alarm for Southern Rebels!" Kile yells over the alarm as we all stand up. Southern Rebels. I have to find them. 

We all run into the hallway and see girls leaving their rooms too. A few give us curious glances or glares seeing Kile with us. "Follow me!" He yells. "Can you hold him?" I ask Kile and hand Harry o him. I get in the back to make sure everyone gets in, I know what my family can do.

"Where are you going?" I ask when I see Velma, Fawna, and Eliza turning. "To the maid's safe room." Velma states.

"Come with us." Kile waves his hand and they follow. We all run to the passage to the safe room. When everyone walks in I turn away in search of my dad, brother, and sister.

Kile's POV

When we hear the alarm go off we all run to the passage and I have the maids come with us too because I know how much they mean to Molly.

When we all get down to the safe room we huddle in one of the corners. A few girls do the same and start crying. I can see Eliza shacking almost to tears and Ashley is the same way and I do what I can to calm them down.

Then I look at our group and someone is missing. "Where's Molly?" I ask almost panicking too.

"I don't know I figured she was in the front with you." Morgan says sounding like she's panicking now.

"I thought she was moving to the back with you." I tell her.

Now Eliza and Ashley start crying. I run to the door but there is a guard in my way. "I need out." I tell him.

"I'm sorry Your Highness but I can't do that. It's not safe enough."

"Let me out!" I yell at him. Then my mother comes running over. "Kile what is the meaning of this you do not raise your voice like that." She scolds me and I realize whoever is not crying is looking at us.

"Mom. I need out Molly is still up there!" I tell her and I can see her face drop at this news. 

"I'm sorry but I can't have you go running up there. I'm sure she will be fine she's a strong girl." My mother hugs me and walks back to my dad. I walk past them and hear the ending of what they are saying and it's my dad's words, "Get ready for it to be 21 girls."

I run to a corner and bury my head in my knees. The tears don't come until I hear the gunshots. Now I'm on the ground crying for everyone to see.

Molly's POV

I run through the castle luckily able to avoid all the guards and other people running around. I go to the front entrance and see three people but they all have masks on.

"Molly!" One squeals and comes to hug me. Miley. I hug her back until neither of us can breath. "I missed you so much." We both say. 

"Can we hurry this up?" My dad says. "Yeah, what's up?" I ask him.

"What's up! What's up is the Report what was that on there!" He yells at me. "I was just acting. I'm going to get on his good side so he can trust me with secrets." I explain to him.

"OK, did you figure out where the passage is?" Miles asks. "Yes, all the Selected and the royal family go to the same hidden one, but it is guarded."

"We can handle that. Where is it? Next time that's our first location. If we go there everyone will come right to us." Dad says.

"On the second floor. When you get off the stairs the wall in front of that has a bookshelf, just pull that open but you will need several people. There is three guards around it when in use and is heavy to move." I tell them and I feel bad betraying Kile and his family.

"OK, you better head there, this time we will just go after guards. Next time we come we will go there and it will probably be after he chooses the Elite." Miles says.

"Also by the way we have the masks because there have been guards at our building and in case they want the families here one day. We can't have them recognize us." Miley explains like she read the question from my mind.

I hug her and run to the safe room.

When I see the three guards they immediately let me in. I run down the stairs and see two other guards. "Thank goodness your here, Miss." One says motioning to Kile. I never thought I would see him like that, he is on the ground curled in a ball crying, he gave Harry to King Sebastion.

Morgan is the first one to see me and she comes flying at me and strangles me into a hug. "Oh my gosh Molly!" She says and Ashley, Velma, Fawna, and Eliza join the group hug.

Velma motions toward Kile. "You better go see him. He has been like that since he found out you weren't hear." She says and I feel guilt build up inside me. I didn't know it would hurt him, especially not that bad.

I walk over to him and he doesn't even notice. I start petting his hair, "I didn't know you cared this much about me." I whisper to him. 

He looks up and engulfs me in a hug. "Yes, I care about you, Molly you about scared me to death. I thought you were going to die." He whispers back to me.

"I'm fine." When we pull apart I feel the cold air down here and we just sit beside each other in silence, but comfortable silence.

We sit down there for at least an hour before a guard says its all clear to head to our rooms. All the girls tell me they are going to their rooms.

"Molly this might sound childish but can I go back to your room with you? I don't want to loose you again."

"That's not childish, yes you can." I tell him.

When we make it up the stairs I see all the damage. Pools of blood from where a guard probably lost his life. Then we see it up on the wall with maids scrubbing at it. WE WILL BE BACK written on the wall with what I know is not red paint.

Kile grabs my wrist and drags me away from the scene and into my room. When we make it there he hugs me again. "Don't ever leave me again, please." He cries into my shoulder.

"I won't go anywhere unless your sending me home." I tell him.

"Molly, I have no plans of sending you home." He hugs me tighter. Does that mean he doesn't want me to leave? Is he saying he wants me to stay here forever? I think about this and come to the conclusion.

I would stay here with him. He cares about me and I care about him. I will do anything to protect him.

He lays down on the bed and I lay beside him, wrapped in his arms, dreaming of a life spent with him.
