"Vruh, what is taking Jah so long?" Pump complained while falling back on the bed . X was supposed to be getting things from the corner store.
"I don't know but I'm HUNNGRRYY." I whined stomping my feet. I thought about seeing Kayla down here, I don't know where she stays but I really want to surprise her.
I didn't call her yesterday because I've been trying to get to NC secretly.
Multiple knocks were brought upon the door causing Pump to jump up off the bed & towards the door.
"Finally, hey pretty lady!" He shouts. I look at him confused as to who he was talking to.
"Who is that?" I ask him walking up to the door. Jahseh walks in with a girl & I immediately knew who it was.

"Hey Stokeley." She says nervously smiling. Her smile was contagious, I grinned back.
"Hi." She walks towards me giving me a hug. Everybody starts cooing and giggling. I sigh at their goofiness.
"Let's go upstairs." I tell her grabbing her hand. We walk to my room & I open it laying on the bed. She doesn't follow me, instead she stands by the door.
Kayla has always been bold and talkative but tonight she was acting different. She was being timid and sheepish.
I was trying to make conversation with her but she totally ignored me.
I started to get mad. "Helloo?" She jumps at my voice. "What did you do while I was in Florida?" I ask her. She shakes her head. "I haven't done anything, what do you mean."
She lays beside me & takes her shoes off. "You're acting sketchy that's all." I walk out the room & head downstairs.
"Jah... lemme talk to you real quick." He nods walking into the kitchen with me. "Where was Kayla?" I ask him.
"She was walking with some boy & she didn't want him anymore or sum." He shrugs.
"Bet." I say patting his shoulder walking back upstairs & into my room.
I sit back down with Kayla looking her dead in her eyes. "When I ask you this, I want you to be honest."
I could tell her whole vibe went left. "Okay." She says sitting up. I got closer to her face.
"You cheating on me?" I question making sure to add a tone in my voice. "N-No. Why you ask that." She stutters trying to grab my shoulder. "Nah, back up." I push her hand off me & stand up.
"Tell me...everything Kayla." She sighs.
"I've been talking to another boy." I raise my eyebrows. "For how long?" I question & lean onto the dresser. "2 weeks after I left Miami.
"Mmm...was it that boy from the basketball court?" She slowly nods. "I didn't mean to hurt you, he kissed me an- "You kissed him back because I wasn't there to do it." She sits there.
"I know you hear me KD... was your love fake? All of it, was it lies?" Her eyes open widely. "No, I love you Stokeley." I shake my head.
"You don't." She stares at the floor until, her phone lights up with the name Brandon.
"Get out." I say handing her shoes to her & opening the door. "I-I can explain." "There is no explanation, just leave." I hear my door close & then the front door.
"You good?" X asks. I open my door and walk out. "Let's invite some hoes." I cheer walking downstairs.

*The Following Day*
"Yo, Ski get up." Wifi says shaking me. I wake up to a pounding headache. "Dammn." I say holding my head. "Here." He says passing me a aspirin.
I remembered that we have a show today. I run upstairs, throw on some clothes and take the aspirin. I start heading outside before I got a call from Kayla.
I answered it.
"What." "I didn't think you would pick up." She says. "Well, I did." I laugh getting into the van. "Where are you going?" She asks.
"To my concert, aye roll down the window for me." I say to Pump taking out my cigarettes.
"Oh, are we on good terms now?" I hum acting like I was thinking. "Nope & don't call me, I only answered to hear was BS you had to say."
"I said I was sorry what else do you want me to do?" She yells through the phone. I smile.
"Come to my concert before I go to back Florida, forever." I could hear her sigh. "Ok Stokeley." I hang up & finish my cigarette.
