I didn't want to be a hunter, well not at first anyways. It just kind of happened. Originally, I wanted to be a nurse. I had just wanted to help people but like most things in my life it didn't turn exactly like I had planned. Hunting is dangerous and most of the time it gets you killed in very nasty painful ways.
If you are reading this, believing it to be some kind of fiction, read on. I envy you. But if you read this and feel eyes watching you, run. Close the book, grab some salt, and never look back. Don't say I didn't warn you.
My name is Addison Singer. My dad is Bobby Singer, yes that Bobby Singer. He didn't start out that way though. Once upon a time he had been married to a women and she had been beautiful. They had a baby daughter and life was perfect.
On a very damp and dreary day, their precious white picket fence life was twisted sideways and Karen Singer lay dead on the floor in a pool of her own blood. My father had killed his own wife, my mother. Oh he hadn't want to kill her, he had loved her but a demon had possessed her. He found out much to late that there was another way.
This story, along with my very own gun, was my thirteenth birthday present. How depressing I know, but it was needed. I had known what was hiding in the dark for a long time but now that I was old enough, it was my turn to start protecting myself. My daddy wouldn't be there all the time to protect me and I guess thirteen was the lucky number.
And so, my official introduction into the life was established. I started going on small, very small mind you, but thrilling cases with my father. When I didn't have school anyways.
John Winchester walked into our lives like an enigma. He was there one day and as suddenly as he was there, he was gone. "Uncle" John as he was soon called never, never, stayed more than a few days. His personality clashed with my dad's and his parenting skills never stuck well with him either.
Sure, they were both great hunters, some of the very best really but unless they were on a hunt they couldn't be in the same room very long without their need to play alpha getting in the way.
Sam and Dean became family. Sammy even became my best friend and Dean, well you'll find out about him later on. But enough about those two, you already know about them. Now it's my turn to tell my story.
So sit back, relax, get comfy, and perhaps a blanket. This story ain't for the faint of heart.
