Julia's POV

"When you get to Kian's, you better not say a word about what happens at home." Dad ordered. "Okay." I say just above a whisper. "I can't hear you, and I don't believe you. You better swear on your life or else when you get back at the end of the summer, your life will be a long hell. That's a promise." He yelled. I flinched a bit. "I promise I won't say anything." I said. He nodded and unlocked the car door. I walk out and walk into the airport. I've never felt as much relief now as I ever have, sitting on a plane, getting away from my greatest fear. I'm free now... Or at least for the next 2 months.

You're probably confused as to why my father is threatening me and talking t me this way. Well, my mom died when I was 11, I'm 14 now. She was on her way to pick me up from dance class but her car got hit by a drunk driver and she died. My father's way of grieving the loss of his wife is very different than how most people would. My dad blames me for her death because she was driving to pick me up. He began drinking and it got out of control. He beats me and verbally abuses me to "give me a piece of my own medicine".

I'm finally getting out of it because I'm spending the summer at the o2l house with my brother Kian. Yes my brother's Kian Lawley. I'm so excited to see him and get away from my dad. He knows that dad hates me but I'm not going to tell him about dad beating me. The bruises on my ribs, arms and face will go away soon, and I'll just wear makeup. <Please put your seat belts on, turn off your electronics, and get ready for landing> I can't believe I'm here!
