"I'm bored." Nettie exclaimed. Not only was Nettie bored, she was depressed. "That often happens in jail." said Polly. "But luckily I have a cure for your boredom... a piece of parchment and a pen!" This was the best thing since sliced bread in Nettie's eyes. She grabbed the piece of parchment and the pen and started to write about her feelings. Then she remembered the journal. The journal helped her during sad times. It helped her express her feelings. This piece of parchment might just turn her life around.
