War of Hearts

Chapter Two

3RD POV

Tiger Lily woke up in fear for the first time in ages beside her best friend, who was still asleep. The clock next to the two girls read '6:45', meaning the brunette was up way before she was supposed to be.

Her mind kept going back to that stupid video of the Northside group called the 'The Red Circle', Tiger Lily wasn't stupid, she knew they believed the killer was a Serpent, and though the girl wasn't an official member just yet, they were her family, and she'd hate to lose another member again.

Deciding against a few hours of sleep, the brunette grabbed her clothes for the day, and headed into the restroom to show before school, or as Tiger Lily calls showering, 'thinking time'.

The poor girl spent about a good half an hour before she left the bathroom, fully clothed and ready. Around this time Toni Topaz was waking up, now the pink haired girl knew her friend all too well. She knew something was bugging Tiger Lily, and hated that there wasn't anything to stop it. It wasn't long before both girls were fully dressed and out the door for their day at school.

Tiger Lily found herself sitting across from Sweet Pea, Fangs, and Toni, as the three rewatched the video of the red circle. She wanted no part in anything to do with that video, or the Northside.

"Honestly you guys it's just a bunch of dumb jocks, who are all bark and no bite." She said rolling her eyes trying to get them to turn it off, as the sound made her more anxious. Tiger Lily laid her head on her arm as she watched her friends.

"Hey. I'm guessing we're not watching funny cat videos." Jughead spoke as he walked to the table full of serpents.

"Check this out." Sweet Pea spoke as he turned the laptop to Jughead causing Tiger Lily to jump away from being able to see the screen. "Some sick in the head Northsider posted a crazy ass video, and uh we were just talking-"

"About what?" Jughead cut off Sweet Pea causing the quiet brunette to look up at him in a curious manner.

"Fogarty wants to earn his Serpent stripes. I say bring us the head of that Northsider, and you're in." Sweet Peak spoke patting Fangs on his shoulder.

"I'm down with that." Fangs spoke up looking at Jughead, the brunette scoffed under her breath.

"Vampire..." She whispered to the boy in question.

It was a well known fact that Tiger Lily was the only one allowed to call the teen boy 'Vampire', as the boy was called Fangs.

"No guys, don't." Jughead spoke in worried tone as Sweet Pea banged on the table in excitement.

"What Jones?"

"I know this guy, he's a milquetoast. He's a football player. It's kind of a lame target, is all I'm saying." Tiger Lily watched Jughead with a small smile. He was a friend of the red head she assumed. "You wanna prove something? Why don't you go after the Black Hood?" Jughead suggested, making the brunette go wide eyed.

"Why would we do that? The Black Hood is targeting Northsiders, who do nothing but blame the Southside for everything that's wrong with this town. And we're sick of it. The Black Hood's doing our work for us. He's a hero." Sweet spoke keeping his gaze on the boy with the crown beanie.

"SP.. that's a little much. Murder isn't a heroic thing.." Tiger Lily whispered under her breath.

Yes the brunette hated the Northside, but neither side deserved death. The girl ignored the glare, the Serpent teen with his neck tattoo gave her. The day went fairly quickly after the altercation in the cafeteria, Tiger Lily found her way to the Red and Black office along side Toni. Tiger Lily walked into the office and almost wanted to leave as she saw Jughead reading a bunch of books.
