I've learned.
Over the course of time,
Although it took a while,
I've learned.
I craved love,
And along with it attention.
But I was going at it the wrong way.
I've learned.
It wasn't about me,
It wasn't about you.
It was about time; the right kind.
I've learned.
So now never to be sullen,
Never to be sad.
Wait for it and it'll come.
I've learned.
Over the course of time,
Although it took a while,
I've learned:
Keep the light in sight but let it come to you.
