after effects

after affects is an adobe program for both mac and windows. it costs i think $20 monthly but many editors get it for free from youtube links, as long as you make sure the link is safe i recommend that method. just search 'after affects free download' on yt and you should be able to find one that works.

there are a few different versions of ae, commonly used ones include cs6, cc 2017 and cc 2018. i use cc 2017 myself but they're all pretty similar so the choice is yours. ive used ae for a while now and i highly recommend it if you have easy access to a decently fast laptop or are looking to take the next step past phone editing. you can make amazing things with it and once you have skills you can basically create anything you set your mind to.

to get started on ae i highly recommend youtube tutorials. start with the basics of ae and then start looking at easy transitions. this method is much easier as theres many videos out there and you can see what theyre doing but comment below if you want me to make a chapter and teach you guys myself :)
