This has become a good old mess hasn't it? What was supposed to be a simple mission - get in, get out - has become a complete shit show. You didn't even want to be apart of the arrest, but no! You were, like your colleagues, "commanded" to cooperate.

Bullshit.

Kidnappings and intents to harm happen every single day, so why the government felt a need to go after one man - one fucking man! - for those exact same reason was beyond you. More importantly, if he was so important, why the hell were you and colleagues being sent to deal with him? Especially you of all people.

The moment you'd found out who you'd been sent to arrest you had wanted nothing more than to jump out that helicopter like a bungee jumper. Joseph Seed. Really?!

You'd only been in Hope County for a little over a month and already you had formed some close acquaintances. Primarily with the Seed siblings.

Despite what everyone whispered behind shielded hands you just couldn't find it in you believe any of them. After all, this was the Seeds they were talking about. You know, rough, pious and flirty. Oh, and precious, but you didn't see her that often.

Basically they were a nice, near enough average family. You never saw anything that could be seen as... malicious with them, and if anyone saw anything it should of been you.

You actually spent quite a bit of time with them, attending the odd dinner or social invitation whenever they sent you one. They were very welcoming and the idea that they were kidnapping and potentially harming people left you feeling itchy with the beginnings of anger.

No way could the Seeds be doing something like that! It just... it didn't make sense to you.

Even now, hands gripping the steering wheel as you race down barracked roads and with the sharp whistle and bangs of firing guns, you struggle to believe it.

You just can't.

Your heart strangles itself as you constantly keep scratching at new wounds. Walking through that compound, into that church, seeing them all standing there watching, looking, judging you. You felt so alone. So worthless and minuscule. You feel so betrayed...

You can't stop the choked sob that slips through your lips, or the tears that threaten to blind you. You feel so foolish. How could you have believed them, trusted them? - You trusted them!

With a quick burst of rage you snap the wheel around, taking a sharp and jarring left that leaves Burke cursing out at you.

Well screw him. Burke doesn't get a say after he straight up ditched you in that wreck of a helicopter. So yes, screw Burke and his arrogance. And while you're at it, rage and despair playing tug of war, screw the Seeds. Screw them and their crappy companionship, built on nothing but falsehoods and twisted words.

Screw them and everything about them; screw John's plane, screw Jacob's rifle, screw Faith's bloody flowers and screw Joseph's bloody book! Screw everything they stand for, everything you thought they were!

They're nothing but wolves parading as sheep. Butchers masked as Shepard's. They're the snake in God's garden, the Judas at the dinner table. They're liars, murders, tempters, betrayers - they betrayed you!

You slam your hand brutally against the wheel as you scream curses that no one but Burke can hear.

They've stepped all over your trust and grounded it into dust, completely humiliated you and all the times you quietly backed and defended them. You became even more outcasted because of your friendly views toward them and look how they've repaid you! Look at your tattered trust!

For what they've done to you, - the utter humiliation and destruction of your pride - you will never, ever forgive them. For that they can damn well go to hell.

And you'll be there, sure as thunder and raw as lightning, to hold the door for them all the way.
