Chapter 2; Why always Threes?! |E|

As soon as I took stance I knew it wasn't a good idea, seeing that they could easily overcome me. Raven and the two guards did the same; took stance. Seeing the two fully armoured guards, one of them my past best friend... It hurts...

But after she easyly betrayed me, I can't just be like; forgive, forget, there is no regret...

All three of them were like dogs that haven't eaten in weeks... They smelled my fear. They were hungry and so much more ready to this fight than I was, which only put me more on the edge.

It all felt hopeless for one second until it clicked; if I can make them get distracted, it could give me just enough time to run away like a coward... It won't look good on me, but I rather live than be imprisoned for the rest of my days.

But I knew it was either that, or... Sitting the rest of my life in a cage, locked up 6 feet underground. No thanks.

I can read Raven's thoughts. Not because I can mind-link him. I known him for long enough to be able to read his face clearly;

"She thinks she can win against us with that bruise on her..?! Heh... Pityful..!"

That man... I'll do so many kind of things to him- no. Not to him... To something that is important for him. So he'll know how it feels to be betrayed. Left alone to die...

All of us stared at each other for a brief moment before stepping forward and charging, attacking. Raven, and the other guard came straight for me, their swords blocking with mine.

While we were giving each other deadly looks, a sharp pain flew through my body. Miumi attacked my back, and was able to make several cuts on my body there, making the chance of me getting out less, and making me feel even more miserable.

Being who I am, I still knew how she was; she truly cared about the people she truly believed to be her friends and family... That was her weak, soft spot. What I was about to do, it hurt me too.

I kicked the man in the armour in the nuts, having the slightly satisfying result that I wanted. He fell to the ground. Raven looked at him, giving me the chance that I took to kick him in the stomach - making him fly backwards and Miumi to run after her friends - and I managed to escape. Finally.

My back hurt even more than before. Since Miumi gave me those scars to live with, it hurt in more than just one way. The only other scar she was able to give me was on my right upper arm.

It was bleeding bad, but 'I just don't care right now...' I think to myself. The forest will give me shelter while I think of a way to get a boat and leave this island back to mine.

I was lost to my taughts while running deeper and deeper into the dark mythical forests of the island. I'm still running- ughhfff....

Greeaaat... My freshly cut back crashes into the wet and mossy forest floor. 'Who is this crazy person?' I think to myself while trying to get up, but failing multiple times, making me feel weak and miserable.

"Aaahhh!" I heard from straight infront of me, as the thing I ran into was a girl.

A witch to be very specific... I look in her direction and see two other people help her up, just as I try to stand up, but fall again.

This time I've just sat up and reached my back with my right hand, and my hand came back all red, due to the blood pouring out of the scars on my back...

"No..." I say out loud, and immediately regret the fatal decision I made.

"Oh my Asuna! Are you okay..? Here let me help you-"

"I don't need your help!" I cut her off, making her and her friends sigh.

"Look... I know pirates don't like mages and wizards, but we're different..!" Says the wizard of the group.

"What makes you think I trust you?!" I growl it to them like a dog, my eyes still shining from the fight I had with the guards and Raven.

"I mean... We can always leave you here to die..." Said the third one bluntly.

'Okay.... Breathe in, breathe out... What's up with people and the number three?! Everyone in the town was talking and chatting in groups of three...' I think to myself bitterly, seeing that I was the only one alone.

"And I'm all alone..." I mumbled under my breath, while slowly taking my left arm away from my stomach's cuts... It was bleeding... Bad.

"She can cure that... If you want, all of them..." The red haired fox says, who just a few minutes ago, wanted to leave me here to die.

"I told you she didn't meant that... Do you want me to cure it or not?"

"Not in a million years..!" I said, and when I did they stared at me. Akwaarrdddd~...

"What's with that look?" I ask them confused...

And when the answer I get is just that they look away, I finally stand up and start walking away like nothing happened, like I would do with anyone.

"WAIT!!!" I hear from behind me and turn on my heels to face the trio, and glare into their bunny-friends eyes, like a wild animal.

"What do you want..?!" I finally ask them irritated by them not getting the message that I wanna be left alone.

"What's your name? Mine's Flower."

So the bunny is actually called it's food... 'Oooookaayy...' I think to myself and lighten my stare.

"This is Rhena, and his name is Ly'syl... What's your name..?"

'Ooooooh Asuna noooo that one question...' I think for a quick moment and come up with a fake name; "Lola. The name's Lola."

And after that I walked away. I couldn't just tell them who I was. That would be too much risk! And I don't need that right now... I look up to see that the sun is starting to set...

"Greeeeaatttt..." I say to myself and continue walking in hope for some sort of shelter, before I run into someone else, or even worse... Some guards who have been sent out to find me with Raven and his crew.

That would mean daylights end for me... And I am not about to just turn myself in. I want to get back to my boring little life... But, until then, I have to find some shelter from the outsiders.

Hope you pack members like the second chapter of Pirates, Witches and an Outcast. This book won't be nearly as long as NOAL, but it's a fun mini series :3
