I looked at Rhena waiting for her to explain all of this, all the betraying, and all the reasons behind her bad, bad doings.
I looked at her pleadingly for a few minutes when the eery silence was sitting over on my shoulders, weighing me down greatly.
After I've had enough of showing what I was feeling, I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and wiped all emotion from my face and eyes.
Speaking of eyes, I'm pretty sure they are just like Lynx's right now, after all I've been taught in the spam of just a few minutes, all the emotions. And all of the broken trust that was planted in me.
But my eyes were still different, I could just feel it. They were dull, they didn't have their usual shine, and life to them. They were restless, lifeless... Soulless. Soulless just like me right now.
"It all started ten years ago... When I was just a young kid laughing, living a normal life... Without being cursed." Rhena finally started explaining, practically hissing the last sentence. "I was running in the forest one day, when I was met with a Tundrajack, our local wooden wolves. He looked at me with his glowing withe eyes and bared his canines, hinting that it was gonna attack at any minute." Rhena than looked over raged just by looking at me. "But a very certain mage had to interfere. I'm not saying that I'm ungreatful, but I didn't want to get cursed in the process!!! And I was cursed by your very own mother, Luu. Your mother is the reason I'm like this! Your mother is the reason my village and family are dead!!!" She shouted at me, hatered filling her voice all throughout the last few sentences.
It was my time to be enraged. No one, I repeat, NO ONE speaks wrong of my mother. Especially when she saved your sorry butt from a Tundrajack or whatever those things are. She was blaming my mother for making her pay a price for saving her.
I growled, some life and soul returning to my mind and body.
"I want to tear her apart! I want to make her pay! I wanna do so many bad things to her!" Lynx howled angrily, -enraged by what she has heard as well- in my head.
"Calm down Lynx, I'll find out what we have to do with this." I told her trying, -key word; trying- to be as calm as I can be in a situation like this.
"And what does all that have to do with me?" I ask through gritted teeth and gulping down a growl.
The king cackled, I repeat, cackled in a situation like this.
"Oh? That is so simple! You are the key to Rhena's freedom. You are the cure to your mother's curse." He said with a sly smirk curving up onto his lips.
"With your werewolf essence taken, and if it's fused rightly with a forever potion, it will be able to free me from the curse permanently." Rhena explained it to me briefly.
After hearing that Lynx whimpered in my head.
"What's wrong Lynx? Is it about the 'taking my essence' away?" I ask her worriedly.
"Yes... If they take it from you, I will be taken from you. And if what she said was true, than I'll have to fight the essence Rhena posesses. And those battles always end with two dead competitors..." Lynx whimpered as she explained it more detailed to me.
"We shall not delay this any longer! Let's get started with you!" The king smirked evilly as the guards pushed me to the middle of the room, and the four witches stood in a square around me.
The guards seeing that let me go, and that was enough for me. I jumped up and kicked one of them out of the square sending him flying a good amount of feet. Then other one charged at me, and I kicked him to the ground too. I was about to finish him off, when Lynx pleaded to be given the pleasure, and I agreed letting her take over.
I transformed and with a single wipe of my giant paw, I sliced the man's chest open, killing him in an instant.
What I didn't know that this was exactly what Rhena and the king needed. Me to be enraged, transformed, when my essence is on the surface.
"Now!" Shouted the king making the witches release the spell they were holding, having a clear shot at me.
I winced as a spell held me down to the ground, making every move impossible. The other three began the sucking of Lynx's essence.
"Lynx! Shift back! I don't care how much this will hurt me, at least I won't lose you!" I shouted at her in my head.
She whimpered, knowing that this could possibly kill me. But despite this she obeyed and shifted back.
"You are the most selfless soul I have come across..." She purred as she rubbed her head against mine for the last time as I faded into nothingness...
