Chapter 12; Lost battle

Dozens and dozens of guards kept on oozing into the clearing after breaking through the spiked vines.

A small portion of them surrounded the clearing, creating a wall out of two layers of guards.

I growled in annoyance.

"What are they doing here?!" I whisper shouted to my... Companions, taking out my sword.

"Don't know, don't care. We have to get out of here!" Rhena said.

"We won't be able to handle this many guards, not at the same time." Ly'syl reasoned.

While the three of us were hissing, arguing and having a glaring contest with the guards, Flower put on a barrier around us.

Just as she finished the guards charged at us.

"Shut up! All three of you! We need to figure out something, and rather quickly, because my magic has an end to it!" Flower hissed.

All three of us looked down in shame and both embarrassment.

"Okay, if we can't fight them, we need to get out-"

"Well well well... If it isn't the big bad wolf herself?" A sly voice of a certain someone said.

"Raven..." I gritted my teeth as I turned to face him.

"Who is he?!" The trio questioned me.

"Oh? Who am I? I am the one who's gonna take Luu to the king and get payed rather nicely. But looking at three other outcasts, I wouldn't be surprised if I got more in return." He smirked.

"Take us? Ha!" Rhena laughed. "I'd like to see you try, you filthy pirate!"

"Hey!"

Raven sighed than continued. "Isis, would you do the honours?"

"ISIS?!" The four of us shouted.

Than from behind the guards came a very videly smirking Isis, with three other witches behind her.

"No no no no no no no no! NO!" Flower whisper shouted over and over again.

"What's wrong?!" I ask.

"T-The staff... The staff she's gonna weild... That... That was my mother's." She said through gritted teeth.

Just as she said that, a rather string spell came charging towards us. Or more like Flower.

Non of us got hurt, expect Flower. Just as the spell hit the barrier around us, it cracked and Flower cried out in pain.

"FLOWER!!!" Rhena and Ly'syl shouted as Flower collapsed.

I began shaking.

Out of rage.

Out of fear.

Out of hatred.

"Luu, don't do anything outrageous!" Ly'syl said grabbing my wrist holding me back.

"Let. Me. Go. AT HER!" I shouted.

"Not until you calm down! If Flower doesn't wake up soon, the barrier will be gone! We need a way out!" Ly'syl hissed quietening down towards the end.

I take a deep breath and look at Rhena and Ly'syl. "Rhena. Try to keep the barrier goin', Ly'syl, I want you to patch up Flower's wound."

They nod, and just as Rhena began chanting the spell, another spell crashed into the barrier, making it crack further.

"I'm gonna go out, so you all can go." I state.

Just as I finished that, Flower woke up. And assuming from her reaction she heard what I've said.

"Luu, you're ain't going anywhere!" She stated weakly, but sternly as well.

Seconds later Raven laughed out.

"You don't want her to go! Do you even know her?! She's a criminal! And my job is to get her killed." Raven smirked as he motioned to Isis.

Isis smirks and casts the spell.

"Rhena fly up with Flower when the barrier breaks, I'll take Ly'syl.!" I whisper shouted to her.

She nodded and the barrier broke, causing Flower to cry out in pain and black out.

"When you see Lynx, jump on him!" I instruct Ly'syl.

The guards charged.

Rhena took Flower and flew upwards into the sky.

"I don't want to carry him! He'll slow us down!"

"I don't care, his friends need him. So wheter you like it or not, were taking him." I growled back at Lynx.

"Ready?"

"Ready."

With that, I feel fur cower my body, and my body shape shift. I cry out in pain causing the guards to back down a bit, as well as Raven.

Than, I stand there in the body of Lynx. The huge scars around her stomach, torso and back.

Ly'syl quickly jummped up, and Lynx took off. Ly'syl yelped a bit, but then...

Lynx howled, whined, cried out in pain. She looks down and sees that her back leg was caught by a spiked vine that Raven threw.

"Get more and threw it at her! The other half, get the witch and the bunny!" Raven shouted out orders.

After fighting the pain in Lynx's back legs, now Ly'syl's too, one hit a very sensitive spot.

Her wounded stomach.

She howled out in pain and started falling towards the ground. She looks up and the Rhena is being pulled down by four guards, vines on her legs, and torso.

I fall.

I got the ground....

And darkness takes over my mind.
