Finally, we were here. The place of our dreams, a place where android can be free. Jericho

The car stooped, mine and Rose seats turned to face Luther and the sleeping child next to him. We all got out of the car and walked over to the exit of the car park. "A little further on that way, there a large freighter called Jericho. When you get there found Markus, he will help you. The last bus leaves at midnight, you absolutely have to be on it" Rose said as she pulled out $50 and gave it to me.

"I know it's not much but it a start, my brother lives in Ontario. I've given you his address, he will be able to hide you until things calm down" Rose said as she wrapped arms around Alice and said "you're a very brave little girl, Alice" after the hug she stood to face me. "Thanks for everything, Rose," I said softly to her. Her arms wrapped around me giving me a hug and I did the same.

"Let me know if you get over there, alright? Be careful" Rose said placing a hand on my shoulder, I quickly nodded in response. "Take care of them please," Rose said to Luther as she left. Luther put Alice on his shoulders and said "come on girls, we have a bus to catch" as we left the car park and walked to the Jericho.

5 minutes later

We entered Jericho, I looked around the place seeing if there a warms place for Alice. I took Alice hand, brought her to a fire near and sat her down. "Luther, stay with Alice. I need to find Markus" I said as I left Alice and Luther alone and went to find the leader of deviant's. I started to walk over to Markus as I looked around and saw hundreds and hundreds of androids some with who was determined some who wanted hope but they all wanted the same thing. Freedom.

"Are you Markus?" I questioned the leader of Jericho, he looked up at me with a blank look on his face. "I'm with a little girl and another android. There's a bus leaving in less than 2 hours and we need passports" I said trying to convince the android. "No Detroit's under curfew. There's more solid everywhere and there's rounder up all the android and send them all to camps. Maybe you should stay here a while" Markus said looking up at me.

I took one deep breath and said "maybe your right, we might be safer here until things calm down," I said as like if I was owning up to the truth. "One of our people used to work for the state department, he has electron passports that can be easily modified. I'll have him give them to you" the leader said still making eye contact with me

"thank you," I said an I walked to the exit of the room but there one thing on Markus mind. "You said you were with a little girl right. You know human hate us, why are you protecting her"Markus said tell me the truth. There was only one thing I could say.

"She needs me and I need her. It as simple as that"

I walked back to Alice still looking around my soundings but something wasn't right. "Alice?" In turned to face the child, there was LED on her temple. I can't believe it. Alice was an android. Memories flooded back, that flyer. I closed my eyes in disbelief for a moment as Luther want next to me.

"You knew from the beginning, you just didn't want to see it. She wanted a mom and you wanted someone to care for. You needed each other, what difference does it make? Do you love her any less now that you know she's one of us? Alice loves you, Kara. She loves you more than anything in the world. She became the little girl you wanted! And you became the mother she needed. Forgetting who you are" Luther said as I looked over to Alice.

"To become what someone needs you to be, maybe that what it means to be alive." as the few words came out of Luther's mouth I started to walk slowly to Alice and then sitting next to her. "Kara? Is there something wrong" Alice asked me, I slowly put my hand on her's and Alice said, "we'll be together forever, won't we Kara?" Alice said looking up at me. "Yes. Forever" I said nodding, I wrapped my arms around Alice and she did the same. I held her closer and closer to me.
