Enchanting Snare

Black eyes as piercing as a trecherous snake's;

Elegant, cunning, beautiful is she.

None can resist her lure with pricey stakes;

Caught in her sweet trance, the captives to be.

Home to a thousand arrows and dead ends;

Around the corner lies the Minotaur.

Nuisance to her are ever-lasting friends,

Trapped to hear silent mockery afar.

Dawn spreads her smile 'cross, Winds catch the last fire;

Each man she continually tries to prey.

Intoxicated with boundless desire,

Many disheartened fall to such dismay.

Running awat to be in the same spot;

Oh the wretched fools kissed and left to rot.
