In midst of dreams and rest, I lie awake.
Tossing, turning, flipping, craving, begging
To shut my tired eyes and sleep for life's sake --
But this fluttering heart remains unsettling.
The room mocks with new peculiarities:
Darkness envelopes me in bright colors;
SIlence teases me with cute melodies;
Cool air drowns me in cirtrus odors.
Running, swimming, cycling -- a triathlon --
Starring you, insted, fill my restless mind.
I clutch replacement pillows of saffron
While potent medication, none can find.
Insonmia -- I am beyond curable;
All because you are too adorable.
