Chapter 4

Hannatu's pov

I stared at a dumbstruck Nasir, he looked like he couldn't believe what he heard.

"S-s-sorry what did you just say? Naji kaman kinche aure" (I thought I heard you say marriage)

"I said I want you to marry me." his face scrunched up In confusion and for a moment I thought of giving up

"You must be kidding right? This is all a joke." he laughed but you could see he was forcing it

"No i mean every word, and in exchange I'll give you anything and everything you want." at the sound of my offer his face changed, he was definitely considering the offer.

"Okay, what are the conditions exactly?and what's in it for me?" i smirked knowing I can definitely get exactly what I want, everything has a prove.

"For you I'll give you exactly what a lot of People want, unlimited access to the company and a huge promotion as the COO." his eyes widen at the once in a lifetime offer

"That sounds tempting, but there's more cause your offer sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?" taking a deep breath I say what's been on my mind all night long .

"Not only do I want you to marry me, but i also want you to give me a child." his eyes were practically about to fall out in shock

"A-a-a what?" he asked stammering, Sumayah turned to stare at me so fast I feared her neck would snap.

"Are you crazy hannatu, Kin San Mai kike chewa kuwa?" (do you even know what you're saying/suggesting) i sighed  turning to stare at her.

"This is going to be the first and last time I'm getting married and you know it, I want to at least have something to show for the life I've lived." she lowered her gaze nodding, cause if I didn't have a baby now I'd never have the opportunity to have one.

"Okay, I accept." i hear him answer "But I need to ask my uncle first, he raised me like a father when I lost my dad. it's only fair to run things by him."

"Sure, take your time. but the wedding is in 3 months, We need to start arranging everything as soon as possible."

"Of course, give me 3 days and I'll get back to you. "

We said our goodbyes and he was quick to leave, probably to clear his head.

Nasir's poV

"She what? " my uncle asked raising his voice like I've never heard before

"She wants me to marry her, in exchange i get unlimited access to everything. But there's more.... " i say hesitating, I know he can be dramatic at times.

"What's worse than marrying an arrogant and self absorbed heiress." he huffed in anger

"She wants me to give her a child." He froze gaping

"lalai wannan ta haukache" (this girl has gone mad), I've never heard of a woman who's so desperate and unreasonable. I'm sure you already declined her offer, dan Baza kayi ba." (because you're not doing it.) he stated seriously

"Actually I accepted her terms, we need it. This is the only chance and the only breakthrough I've had in 3 months. I've not gone this far just to give up, I'll marry her and give her a child. I've made my decision, and I hope you honor it."

He sighs rubbing his temple, probably growing a headache " i know this is your final decision, I'll support you. you're someone who thinks before he acts, so I'm on board with whatever you decide, Just be careful." i nod and excuse myself .
