As we got closer to the statue that led to Dumbledores office I thought that my parents would be in there to take me home and refuse to let me go back to Hogwarts ever again. We were now at the stone griffin and proffessor Snape looked down at me with an unreadable expression on his face. As we were staninding at a grand oak door I sighed making uncle sev look down at me and he couldn't help but smile making me confused.

Uncle Sev knocked on the door and all too soon there was that calm voice "enter." Just that one word made my heart skip a beat but as we entered the beautiful room I saw Marcus Flint standing next to professor Dumbledore. This only made me more confused. "Ahh miss Malfoy nice of you to join us." He said. "Are you going to expel me?" I mumbled. Dumbledore and Flint chuckled at this but Flint spoke first. "He is not going to expel you we was going to see if you wanted to play one of the chases on the Slytherin quidditch team. Draco said that you can play all of the positions but you are better at chaser and seeker and we need a chaser because the one we had was a seventh year." "I-I would love to thank you but just one problem. I haven't got a broom." I explained. "That is bein-" Dumbledore was cut off by a flash of green light in the fire and my father stepping out of the fire place holding a long, thin, wrapped up package and handing it to me. He then handed me a new set of quidditch clothes. "Thank you father" I said as I courtesyed slightly. He stiffly nodded a little.

10 minutes later the Slytherin quidditch team was walking to the quidditch pitch to kick Griffindor off of the field but we only got half way there when we stopped and Flint gave them the note. "I Proffessor S. Snape, give the Slytherin team permission to practice today on the quidditch pitch, owing to the need to train their new seeker and chaser." Wood read aloud mainly to his team. The team looked outrage. "You've got a new seeker and chaser?" Wood said through gritted teeth. "Who?" The team cleared revealing me and Draco. "Malfoy?" Harry said astounded. "Which one?" I smirked until the next line from my brother. "We aren't all that's new this year." he said flashing off his new broom. "Good aren't they far better than them." He sneered pointing at the Weasley twins brooms. Suddenly a new voice spoke out. "At least no one from the Gryffindor team had to buy their way in. They got in on pure talent." I nearly shouted at Hermione saying that she shouldn't have said that if she didn't want a nasty remark back but it was too late. "No one asked your opinion you filthy little mudblood." My hand shot up to my mouth as I punched my brother in the arm with my free hand as hard as I could but a second after Ron tried to get Draco to eat slugs but the curse rebounded and made him eat slugs instead. I felt incredibly sorry for him and wanted to run and see if he was ok but I knew that my father would hear about it from Draco so I decided to check later. I was the only one in the Slytherin team to not laugh.

Flint blew a whistle and threw the quaffel I quickly snatched it out of the air and started racing towards the three hoops. I quickly passed to Theodore Nott and ducked out of a bludgers way as it came hurtling towards my head. Theodore passed back to me and I threw it with so much force towards the middle hoop that the keeper would have had to move at the speed of lightning to block it. I repeated this an extra six times before Draco finally caught the snitch.

As we headed back up to the castle it was nearly dinner time so I told Draco that I was going to see a teacher about a piece of homework he said that he would go with me but I told him that I wasn't a little kid anymore and could do things on my own so when he finally left I went towards where I thought the Gryffindor tower was to find Ron and ask him if he was ok and to apologise to Hermione for the outrageous behaviour of my brother. I didn't have to look far because one staircase up I saw them hurrying down chatting. "Hey are you two ok?" I asked concerned. "Yeah why wouldn't we be." Ron said. "Because of my brother and look I'm-" Hermione cut me off saying that she and Ron were both fine and they both walked off leaving me and Harry just standing there in silence. Harry was first to break the silence. "Hey Eve I'll walk you down to the great hall if you'd like." I was a little taken aback by that but managed to say "um sure Harry but just don't let my brother see you because that wouldn't end well for both of us."

When we were just next to the enterance to the great hall I told Harry to go in first and I would go in slightly after him and barge his shoulder so then it didn't look suspicious to my brother. He did as I said so when I barged his shoulder and sent him a glare the entire Slytherin table started laughing probably because I nearly knocked him over. I took my seat next to Draco and he said well done for pushing Potter out of the way but then he started to see if Potter had hurt me in anyway and I told Draco that he hadn't I just felt like shoving him which wasn't the truth but he bought it.

After the feast we all went to our common rooms and I was sat on the sofa having an argument about quidditch for a while before finally retreating to my four poster bed with green hangings around it. The bed wasn't as comfy as the one I had at home but it was pleasant to sleep in.
