8:30pm and everything's ready for dinner at the veranda. As the ladies announced dinner is ready, the rest of the gang rushed to the table and took their seats.  Team Coleen and Billy at one side while Vhong, Vice and Karylle at the other. They were having their chat about their college lives when a certain topic was brought up along with the person Vice was trying to forget for years.

"The last news about him was that he's already in Canada, having his own firm. Hmmm... Hindi ko akalain na that he would be that successful.. trouble maker yun eh!." Vhong said as he remember the days. Not so long when he realized that Vice was being uncomfortable with the topic so he tried to change it but it was too late.

"Sino si Christian?" Asked Karylle

"Kuya Christian is our second cousin. We used to be so close when we were kids. Naging magbestfriend pa nga sila ni kuya eh. Diba ku-- Ooopss." - Coleen

"Then what happened?" Tanong uli ni Karylle. She raised her eyebrows to everone nang makita niyang walang may gutsong sumagot sakanya.

Padabog na binaba ni Vice yung utensils niya at saka tumayo at tumingin kay Karylle with no emotions on his face. Her heart skipped a beat dahil baka galit na sakanya si Vice.

What happened next was she found herself and Vice walking outside the house and headed to his car. As ussual, kinaladkad nanaman siya ni Vice.

They were both quiet during the ride. Para hindi mabagot, inenjoy nalang ni Karylle ang byahe by letting the cold breeze touch her skin. In short, nagemote. Naputol ang senti moment ni Karylle nang biglang ihinto ni Vice ang sasakyan sa isang open field... Bumalik nanaman ang kaba ni Karylle.

Vice jumped out of the car at umupo sa hood ng kotse. Gulong gulo si Karylle na sinundan si Vice.

"Sorry for being too nosy" She said while sitting beside him.

"There's nothing to be sorry about."

Karylle just nodded in reply, when in fact, wala rin naman siyang maisip na sasabihin. Baka mamaya kung ano nanaman ang lumabas sa bibig ko. She thought.

After a few minutes, Vice took a heavy breath and finally spoke.

"Christian and I were childhood bestfriends. We go to the same school, same hobbies and sports, likes and dislikes, pati favorite color parehas kami. We even helped each other to get girlfriends when we were in high school." He paused and chuckled. His expression changed into a sad one.

"Then one day we loved the same girl. I thought he was seriouswith her that's why I gave way. Although I know she likes me too."

Karylle just stayed quiet while listening to him. There were many questions in her head and she chose not to open her mouth and let Vice and his story answer everything.

He closed his eyes like he was trying to recall everything on his memory lane. The he continued...

"Christian just took what he wants then left her. Months after,pumunta siya sa condo ni Christian to say na buntis siya but he pushed her away." He paused again and took a glance on Karylle.

"And then?"- Karylle

"She called me. She told me everything and she asked for my help. I was outside the city at that time. Nagmadali akong umalis at puntahan siya.. Nandun na ko eh.. Karylle nandun na ko" Tears are now falling down his face. "Pagbaba ko ng kotse may nakita akong kumpulan ng mga tao. They were all panicking and screaming. Yung iba parang may hinahabol o hinahanap, they were even trying to call the police and 911. Bumilis yung tibok ng puso ko, hindi ko na lang alam nahawi ko na pala lahat ng taong nakaharang. Then.. I saw her, laying down, covered with her own blood. I tried to revive her. Believe me I did" He's now crying his heart out, he's releasing all the pain he's been holding for so long.
