Tim's P.O.V.
I open up my wrist computer, looking at the time, 1:48 am. "We've been waiting here for over an hour," My complaint addressing to Bruce who remained frozen in his position, most likely ignoring my whining. An annoyed sigh then escaped my lips, "Look, they are probably busy working a case."
"Then we wait until they are done," he declared.
Stubborn as usual.
I huffed out another breath then slowly moved myself to the ground, settling into a position in which my legs were crossed. Buldhaven's crisp air made the hair on the back of my neck stand, I guess it made sense since the seasons were alternating at this time of year. And we just stayed there.
Thankfully thirty minutes later, a pair of footsteps were heard walking across the gravel. Both my head and Bruce's perked up, but once I caught eyes of the familiar blue crest, I smiled. I stood up and made my way over to Nightwing, AKA my brother, Dick Grayson.
"Sorry we're late," Dick extended his hand outward to me, grinning as he did so, "Traffic these days."
I chuckled and grabbed his hand, giving it a firm shake before letting go. "It's been too long," I proceeded to say. I stood beside Dick moving out of the way so he could see Bruce.
"Way too long." He said as he caught eyes with Bruce. "So you weren't kidding," Dick leaned over and whispered, still locking eyes with the man in front of us.
I sighed, "I wish I was." A heavy silence hung over the three of us until I felt it needed to be broken, "Where's the runt?"
Dick sent a quick glare at me before placing his hands on his hips and looking around, barely realizing that he was missing someone, "Where is the little rascal?" There was a soft thud against the pebbles on the corner of the rooftop, there crouching was none other than the latest Robin, cape fluttering with the light breeze and bright vibrant colors glistening in the moonlight.
"Drake," He greeted. Wow, he actually greeted me.
"Gremlin," Damian scoffed and rose to his feet, walking over to me and Dick.
Bruce's gaze drifted down to Damian, the son he never met. The father and son stared at each other for a while until Dick cleared his throat, "Damain, this is Bruce Wayne."
Dick then motioned his hand from Bruce to the young Wayne, "Bruce, this is your son, Damian Wayne." Bruce's eyes widen in what appeared to be shock. He then looked at me for confirmation of all this mess.
Damian then walked up to Bruce, arms crossed behind his back. He looked Bruce up and down before staring at him, "I thought you'd be taller."
"Okay, that's enough from you," Dick ran up to him, putting his hands on the boy's shoulders and pulling him backward slowly. Burce glared at Damian then looked at me and Dick, "Explain."
I rolled my eyes, then stepped forward to speak, "He came to us a while back saying he was your son. Of course, we didn't believe him, but he gave a pretty reasonable explanation, convincing enough to make us consider that fact that he might've been telling the truth."
"We've done blood test, established timelines," Dick spoke up catching everyone's attention, "everything fits like some deranged puzzle, even his attitude." Damian glared at him. That right there should've been convincing enough to prove Damian was truly who he said he was since, the glare was identical to Bruce's.
"But we can talk about our disorganized family issues later," I jumped back in. We had come here for a reason, to see if Dick and Damian would be willing to aid us against the Joker.
Bruce cleared his throat before speaking, "Dick, the Joker's back."
Bruce's words seemed to hit Dick like a bullet to his heart. I don't blame him, just hearing these words again made me tense as if I were hearing them for the first time. The vigilante paled, bitting his bottom lip as he seemed to be searching for the right words to say, but the only thing he could croak out was, "How?"
Bruce looked down and shook his, but he didn't need to say anything, his look said it all, he didn't know.
Most families travel from different cities, states, even countries just to see their relatives, it's what a family should do. But we aren't most. Tonight most of the remains of our family, a suppose to be dead hero, a circus performer, a twelve-year-old assassin, and I stood on top of a roof discussing the matters of a real-life killer clown walking the streets of a city we called home, well for the exception of Damian.
And the more I think about this, the more I realize how this all sounds like one bad bar joke.
