CORBYN
"I can't believe he agreed to that," I yelled out frustrated. I sat on some bleachers with my friends at Zach's soccer game. "He will most certainly not leave that house if I have a say in it."
"Corbs calm down it will be ok," Christina, another guardian angel, reassured as she patted my back. I glared at her stupid pretty face and stupid pretty brunette hair. How could she disagree with me?
"Yeah, I agree with Chris let him go, it will be a learning opportunity." I turned to my left side and narrowed my eyes even more at the taller brunette boy who's more sensitive then a feather.
"Jo shut up," I stated coldly as I watched him turn away and frown at the ground. "The one time you speak you just have to disagree."
I look at Jo blush, he is normally quiet because he doesn't have much to say since stuff went down and has left him unhappy, depressed, and sensitive. Chris and I always try to make him happy but we can't and it breaks my heart.
"Hey don't talk to him like that, it's not his fault that you want to create the most perfect boy ever," Chris slapped me upside my head as she exaggerated. "Apologize now," she scolded me as I turned to Jonah.
"Jo, I'm sorry," I genuinely apologized as I realize my mistake of taking my anger out on such a kind angel who's been through a lot.
"It's ok," he mumbled giving me a small smile. He doesn't smile often ever since it happened.
I frown a little but return my attention back to the game. I see Zach dripping in sweat as he tries to steal the ball away from the other team but fails which I huff.
"Come on, Zach you got this." I whisper knowing he will end up hearing me.
"You know he doesn't have to score every goal," Christina states annoyed making my eye twitch a little, how dare she say that?
"Why do you gotta be like that? I mean where's that little human girl of yours," I ask turning towards her.
"Her name is Rachel," I honestly don't know why I'm being jus rude so I ease my shoulders and nod understandably. " and she is at the mall."
"Why aren't you keeping an eye on her," I ask curiously.
"I am," she points to her eyes and I realize she is using her double vision. Where she can be at one place but also see what's happening where her human is. "but I'll have to leave in a few so she won't get hit by that bus."
"Did you have a vision?" I gasp visions were special. When someone is deeply endangered.
"Yeah, but it's ok don't worry," She waves her hand around like she tells me not to worry but makes me worry more.
"See this is why, you should be there," I shake my head at her.
"Corbyn you need to learn that these humans can make mistakes, they can sin it's only the inevitable." I roll my eyes after hearing this speech often.
"Plus good things come out of bad, for example, if she didn't go to the mall she wouldn't have met that cute boy that got her number." She stands up smiling wide from the bleachers as she says this. But I don't want Zach to give his number to some cute guy.
"Anyway, I got to go help Rachel, be protective but not overprotective. Quit acting like a mom," I roll her eyes as she teases before giving me a friendly kiss on the cheek.
"Jo, be just a tad bit more happy, please," she tells him giving him a kiss on the cheek too. He gives her a small smile and nods his head a little.
"Bye guys," she puts on her jacket that turns her invisible to humans as she takes off flying through the air. I watch as I see her beautiful wings fly her away.
"She's right, let Zach go to the party." I hear Jo's frail voice. "Let him have fun for once and if you're really that worried you should go too."
I think about what Jo says as I stare out onto the field, watching Zach play. I know the way that Daniel boy looked at Zach. He wants to take his virginity and I know how Daniel works, he's evil. But I guess if Zach could possibly have fun, I'll let him go just as long as I'm there.
Sighing, I gain full attention on the game and just realized Zach stole the ball and is going towards the goal.
I focus as I time when he should attempt the shot. "Not now," I whisper.
"Almost, almost," but then out of no where I feel something warm and soft poured on me. "What the-"
I realize that the warm and soft is popcorn and it's poured everywhere on me. I tremble in anger as I look up to see the one person I can't stand smirking down at me. "Oops."
I feel the anger roar inside me but then I wonder if Zach even scored. Turning toward the field, I see the other team has the ball again.
"You stupid demon," I rise up from the bleacher and point at him.
"Aww what a very mean thing for an angel to say," he pokes his lip out as he says his dumb remark. I hear laughter and realize he's not alone as I look behind him to see another demon, one with curly hair and rather short.
I glare at both of them, "what do you want?"
"Oh I just came to say that you're bout to lose your sweet innocent angel. He's gonna be mine." Daniel smirks as I glance to see his other friends smirk.
"I-" I raise my hand up but hesitate stopping myself from stooping down to his level.
"You ain't gonna do shit, Besson." He gives this playful glint in his eyes as he pokes his finger in my chest.
"Leave him alone," I hear the most unexpected voice say. I turn to look at Jonah with a wide eyed expression.
"Aww look at this." Daniel pushes me out of the way and the other demon following, before squatting down in front of Jo.
"What a cute little angel," the demon grabs Jo's jaw making Jo look at him.
"Leave him alone," I yell as I try to get to the demon but the stupid demon's friend stops me.
"Shut the fuck up Besson," Daniel glances at me before turning back to Jonah. Jo doesn't deserve this and I feel bad.
"Aww after I use Besson's human for my pleasure," he smirks glancing in my direction. "You'll be next." He then kisses Jonah on the lips.
Fuming in anger as he thinks he can just do that to Jo, I push away from the curly head boy. Then forcefully pushing Daniel to the ground. "Don't ever mess with my friends or Zach, you will pay for this."
"Dani let's just go," I turn to hear a different voice say. Coming from the curly hair boy who just crosses his arms.
"Jack shut the fuck up," he glares at his friend. "Besson you have no idea who you're messing with," he smirks again as he stands and soon both the demons walk away.
Zach is definitely not going to that party, I think as I angrily sit back down beside Jo. He will not let this demon get what he wants.
