CORBYN
"Zach you want to go to a party this weekend," asked Zach's best friend Matt.
I stand from afar as they talk at Zach's locker which I'm eavesdropping. But I'm not a stalker. I'm his angel. Guardian angel in fact.
What the humans don't know is that there are angels in the world and everyone has one. We angels are smarter than the humans so we decided that they need us to help make their decisions but we're absolutely not allowed to control our human.
Along with the simple rule of, were only here to protect not fall in love. Because if you fall in love, you won't know what's right or wrong for your human.
So now here I am, a guardian angel, whispering into his ear I got assigned to Zach since I was four and ever since then I've watched over him. Also did a pretty good job if I do say so myself.
"No, Zach don't go to the party. It's not safe and your mom will be so disappointed," I mouth the words into the air and watch Zach react to my words. Which he can only hear.
I observe Zach as he looks to say something but then smiles as his eyebrows knit in confusion. Then I see the small frown on his face. By the looks of it he's thinking over my words.
"Umm Matt, I think I'm just gonna stay at home and study." Zach smiles at Matt. He's so adorable with that smile of his.
To me Zach is the literal definition of perfection. He's innocent, nice, kind hearted, and everything I wanted him to be.
Which is true to the point that I influenced most of his decisions. Kinda of why he's gay which technically isn't my fault since I've seen the way he looks at guys more than girls. But I don't mind because I'm gay too. So I've never seen being gay as a problem especially since I've learned of the other angels accepting it.
I'm also glad all these years he has listened to me instead of them. The demons. This world is not perfect that's for sure. There is good and bad. The demons caused the bad and the angels cause the good.
Most children grow up listening to the angels whisper in their ears but over time the demons come and try to persuade, and then they start to succeed.
It's most common in teens, since all they want is to rebel, have popularity, sex, drugs, and alcohol. They commit the most sins because it's "fun." They usually turn the back from the angels no matter how much their guardian tries to influence their decision.
But the thing is we're always still watching over our person. It's the right thing to do no matter what and eventually if the human has committed so many sins they finally start to understand what's right and wrong. They start to listen to us more and gain responsibility in their adulthood. That's why I think they're happier as they get older.
But still even when these humans commit the sins some don't come back to us. They remain loyal to the devil. The control of all demons. But the sad thing is, it's become ever more common. But I don't let that happen to my sweet Zach.
I do admit I love being Zach's guardian. He's rather beautiful to my eye. His brown hair fluffed ever which way. And the times I get the chance to look him in the eye is magical. Looking into the huge hazel color eyes that seem to just light up the world. But I can't fall in love though.
Now, I currently stare from behind my locker door as his small frame stands next to his friends rather lankier, taller friend.
Ring.
The bell rings and I watch as others walk to their next class. I linger watching Zach for a moment more.
He walks off with his friend by his side. But I notice the stare from the brunette boy, that Zach walks past. The boy looking Zach up and down, smirking while licking his lips. No, he's mine demon.
Short Chapter but I'm excited to write my second favorite ship Zorbyn after ofc Jachary. I'm also excited to write this book after it being in my drafts since I Hate My Life.
