Hello everyone! Welcome to Delicate! This is my take on a normal yet troubled lesbian relationship. I'll try to update as soon as I can and each chapter will be named after a song that I feel is very representative of it!
Thanks! I hope you enjoy!

Kelly's POV
Sometimes I hate going to clubs.
What's funny is that I used to love it. Clubs used to be my scene. Loud, booming dance music. Bright, flashing lights. The smell of flowery perfume, sweat, and alcohol. At least that described my favorite club, The Deviant. There were always so many people there: party animals dancing in the middle of the floor, couples grinding against one another, loners downing shots at the bar, those work-hard-play-hard types scanning the entire room for a one night stand like a wolf stalking its prey.
Not so long ago, I would've been one of those people. I had my share of alcohol binges, one night stands, grinding on strangers, and fun times. But tonight was different, because Juliet was here.
Juliet was easily the most beautiful girl in the entire club. She had dark brown hair with natural highlights from the sun and slightly tanned skin to match. Her father was Chinese so her hair was silky and thick, like a princess in those old kungfu movies. Her eyes, accented by a thin layer of eye shadow, were a warm hazelnut color, and her teeth were like shiny, little pearls. Her eyebrows were evenly plucked, and her eyelashes were long and curly, flapping like the wings of a butterfly every time she blinked. She was taller than me, even with my heels on, and she was just as slender, wearing a short, black dress that showed off her every curve. She even smelled nice, like the scent of lavender and fresh laundry. Those were what drew me to her in the first place.
While I always thought that she was mine, I noticed tonight that other people were seeing her, too; and they liked what they saw. I put my arm around her waist protectively which caused her to raise her eyebrow at me, amused.
"Kell, are you jealous?" She smirked, biting her lip in the most seductive way she knew how.
I scoffed. "Hell, no. You know I'm not that type."
We were leaning against the edge of the bar table, and I could already count five people that were staring at her just a little too long.
A guy approached her, ignoring my arm around her. He looked like the typical college frat boy with gelled up hair, sky blue eyes, and a cocky expression. "Hey, girl."
Now I was getting even angrier. Couldn't this jerk see that she was with me? And why was Juliet smiling? She had a girlfriend! And that girlfriend was sitting right there!
"Hey," she smiled politely, looking apologetically to me like she was sorry that had to be nice to this guy.
"Do you want to dance with me?" He flexed his arm on the bar table, looking up at her to see if she was in any way impressed.
Juliet wasn't impressed. "Sorry, I have a girlfriend." She leaned her back into me and I wrapped both of my arms around my waist.
That's right, I thought, feeling very triumphant that this guy wanted something he couldn't have, something that was mine.
As the guy walked away in defeat, Juliet turned towards me, laughing. "You were so jealous. I guess, you are that type. You always say that you aren't, but every time someone flirts with me, you get so defensive."
I put my hand over my face to try and hide my flushed red cheeks, because I knew that what she said was true. "It's just so annoying. Everybody wants you." I rolled my eyes at the last line, jokingly.
