Juliet's POV

"I can't believe that Kelly turned out to be such a bitch," my best friend, Odette, commented, angrily, after I told her what had happened yesterday morning. Odette was usually the picture perfect good girl. She had light brown hair, tan skin, and the biggest smile in the world. However, when she got mad, her whole face scrunched up, actually making her look even cuter. Odette was cute, but she was my best friend so I'd never consider her to be Kelly-level cute.

"I'd like to say that I told you so," my friend, Avery, said ever so piously. "Seriously, that girl had commitment issues for days!"

Avery was our friend group's self-proclaimed relationship guru. Ever since she married her now husband, Leo, her advice suddenly became way better than ours. Obviously, because she had been happily married for all of five months, she knew the ins and outs of every relationship.

Jaden, our friend group's self-proclaimed token gay, laughed. "Look, Juliet," he began, sassily as usual. "If you ever told me that you loved me, I would've scooped you up right away because you cute!"

Jaden had been my best friend since high school; we both leaned on each other tremendously when we came out. We were always there for each other's relationship problems. He was there to give me fashion advice when my own choices were rather lackluster. He was there to help Odette with her boy problems. Odette and I were there to hold him back whenever he got a little bit too passionate about something.

Odette, Jaden, and I had been the trio ever since high school. We always had plans to live out our young adulthood in the city, which we rode a train up to almost every weekend in high school. It wasn't until last year when we met Avery and she joined our little friend group. Avery worked in the same fashion magazine publication that Jaden did, so they hit it off right away. At first, I wasn't too keen on having Avery around, because I liked to be that token sarcastic friend — that Chandler Bing — but Avery turned out to be a great addition to our clique.

"I mean, if the sex is good, why can't you just be fuck buddies?" Jaden was asking, running his fingers through his curly hair.

I leaned against the back of my couch, looking up at him sitting on the couch across from me. "I'm twenty six now, almost twenty seven. I'm officially in my late twenties! I don't have time to just fuck around anymore."

"That's true, committed relationships make you feel so much more fulfilled at this age," Avery insisted.

Odette raised her eyebrow in annoyance. She had trouble finding solid relationships, just like I did. Leaning against my shoulder, she asked, "Have you talked to her since?"

I shook my head. "No, we're over."

"I say that it's not over until you've had break-up sex," Jaden smiled, trying to lighten up the mood.

"I mean, we had sex right before we broke up..."

"Nope, not the same thing," Jaden closed his eyes and shook his head. "You should go there now, have sex, and then just come back. Then it'll be over."

"Don't listen to a single thing Jaden says," Odette warned, a smile appearing on her lips as well. "Don't come crawling back to her. Don't give her that satisfaction. You need to move on, honey, even though it'll be hard."

Jaden shrugged. "You can do what Odie says, or you can just be fuck buddies. I know which one I would pick."

Avery slapped Jaden on the arm lightly.

"Well, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else," Odette started saying.

"I'm usually the top," I interjected.

"Shut up! You know what I'm saying!" Odette laughed. "We're taking you to The Deviant tonight, and you're going home with someone. You're actually so gorgeous so you won't have any problems with that."

I pursed my lips together. "The Deviant is Kelly's favorite club. What if I run into her?"

"Even better! Then she'll see that you're moving on already."

I smiled. The thought of making her jealous was extremely appealing. "Okay, I'm down."

We got to the club a little after 9 PM, dressed in our sluttiest outfits. Jaden had dressed me in this short red dress that hugged my body tightly.

"If I was a hetero, I would totally bang," he assured me.

The Deviant was packed; after all, it was a Friday night. We all sat together in a booth so we could look over all the people who were there. While the rest of them were trying to find a hot chick for me to take home, I was scanning the scene for Kelly. And sure enough, I found her towards the edge of the dance floor with a girl. At first, a feeling of envy rose up inside of me, but the longer I watched them, the more I noticed that they seemed more like friends than potential lovers. That girl must've been Brianna, her best friend. Kelly had mentioned her casually a few times.

I couldn't stop staring at Kelly. She looked so hot in her sheer top and tight skirt. I wanted to swagger over to her and wrap my arms around her waist, swaying to the music for the rest of the night. I wanted to grab her by the hand and take her to the bathroom. However, at the same time, I was also angry. I poured my heart out to this girl, and she didn't even care. She told me that didn't even like me, which I found hard to believe. I sincerely hoped that she was lying about that. I mean, there was no way that those looks she shot me were purely of lust and friendship.

"Hey, cutie, do you want to dance?"

I had been too preoccupied focusing on Kelly that I hadn't noticed that a girl had approached out table, offering to dance with me. She had shoulder length blonde hair, and baby blue eyes. She wore heavy makeup, black leather shorts, and a tight, tank top.

Odette elbowed me. She's cute; go dance with her.

I looked up at her and smiled. It had been a while since I picked up girls at the club; I could tell that my game was a little off. Following her off to the dance floor, I grabbed her hand to lead her to a space closer to where Kelly was.

I could tell that Kelly had saw us, although I pretended that I didn't notice her. The blonde seemed to be the frisky type as she began grinding her large butt against my crotch, causing me to moan. I placed my hands on the sides of her waist and danced against her body.

After a few minutes of heavy grinding, with Kelly's jealous gaze over us, the blonde turned around and kissed me on the mouth. "Want to get out of here?" She whispered that in my ear, seductively.

I nodded, looking over to see Kelly staring dead at me, the look of jealousy evident in her eyes. I smiled to myself and led the blonde out of the door. On the taxi ride home, I texted our friend group chat that I was bringing a really hot girl home, and they rejoiced.

After a few hot sessions with the blonde, I escorted her out my door. She was fine with it; she understood the rules of one night stands. The sex had been good, honestly, but it wasn't nearly as steamy and amazing as with Kelly. I found myself missing her once again as I sat on my bed, alone.

I was drifting off to sleep when I heard a knock at my door. I was probably Odette or Jaden or Avery or maybe all three, coming to check up on me. When I opened the door, my jaw dropped. It was Kelly.

As soon as I opened the door, she jumped on me, kissing my lips passionately. I carried her inside and closed the door, bringing her into my bedroom.
