Knock Knock

It had been a few hours since my dad had left for a business weekend. It was only my dad an I. I'd grown accustom to being home alone due to my dad having to work a lot of the time.
I started to feel quite uneasy but decided to brush it off and turn the TV on.
All of a sudden I heard a knock at the door. My father told me to never open the door to anyone so I just left it.
I went back to watching my silly soap opera but the person at the door persisted. I walk up to the door and look through the peephole, there was no one there.
"Ugh it's probably just some kids messing with me" I muttered to myself.
The uneasiness came back stronger than before, but again I brushed it off and went back to my chrome coloured sofa.
I was started to get really irritated by the knocking at the door, it hadn't stopped.
"Who is it!! Stop knocking!!" There was still no one at the door. I sat behind the door puzzled.
The knocking stopped.
"Finally some peace and quiet"
I sat back down only to be startled by more intense knocking. My fear grew more extreme and my heart sank as the knocking, more so pounding would not stop.
I called 911 and told them about my situation, they assured me that it's probably nothing but they told me they would send someone over to check the area.
Surely when the police man turned up there was nothing there. I felt a sense of relief and I went to bed.
"BANG!" it sounded like a gunshot. Fear trickled down my body before it could completely paralyse me. "S-shit what d-do I do?" I whisper quietly.
I look out my window to see a lady standing at my front door, she was pounding on it. It looks like she was wearing clothes from another era. She seemed desperate for help, fear struck her pale Face. She looked incredibly bloody and and her eye had been horrifically wounded. I almost decided to help her but I then thought about who was out there with her. Lost in my thought about the situation I snap back into reality to find she was gone.
She disappeared.
She was completely out sight. It's like she vanished into thin air.
I called 911 again to try and help the lady and find out what was going on.
When the police man came there was absolutely nothing to investigate. "Look I get you are scared but there is nothing here. This is probably just your own paranoia getting to you. Don't keep calling us out here, we have more important things to do.
After that i went to my friends house to stay the night, I explained to my dad that I did not want to be alone anymore.

A few weeks later my dad and I decided to move to a new house, he felt that the area was unsafe after I told him what happened and after we found out some spine chilling information.
A lady Elizabeth Cullen died on that property in 1867.
The owner refused to let her in after her banging on his door for a very long time. The woman had apparently been running from a killer she escaped from. The owner had no empathy for this woman so he left her out there. When her body was found she had a major wound through the eye.
