Not over here...
I walked past the hole in the small mini-mart.
Not here, either...
I jumped up to the second floor of a company building through the broken string of windows.
Is that...?!
I saw a glistening object under the rubble of demolished building. My eyes widened and I sprinted towards it. I threw apart the debris, only to see that it was...
It was a regular kitchen knife.
I cursed under my breath and ascended a nearby building. At the top, I took a look around the city to see if I had missed anything, any areas where I had been before. The wind was aggressive at the greater altitude, filling my ears with its roar, sending my hair blowing to the side. The cold breeze felt nice against my hot skin, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I normally would have. After all, I had lost one of my precious daggers, and I couldn't think about anything else.
This is the third time I've went around searching the area...I guess it isn't here. I rubbed my face with my hand and heaved a sigh. When I opened my eyes, I saw more people had come back home and out of hiding. I can't keep patrolling here or they will get suspicious...
...
Guess I'll go home.

"Ah ah ah! Hoodies off in my store!" an older woman behind the counter barked at the customer who had just walked in. The customer removed the hood, revealing the face a young woman.
The older woman, whose name tag read "Ellie," raised her eyebrows. "Well, well, well! What's a good ol' hero doing in parts like this?" She hunched over the counter with one arm distinctly beneath it.
"I'm looking for something stolen from me. I fear it may have ended up in a shop like this." (Y/n), better known as the Golden Warrior, calmly spoke and approached her, well-aware of what she could be holding.
"Oh? Like what? It's hard for me to keep track of what's been in whose hands, you know." (Y/n) slowly pulled a sheathed blade from her side, held it up in front of her, and placed it delicately onto the counter.
"I'm looking for a dagger similar to this one." Ellie gazed into (Y/n)'s eyes, scanning them for any bad intentions before allowing her focus to shift to the blade in front of her. She picked it up, feeling and examining the scabbard before pulling it out.
"Is this real gold?" She dragged a finger along the hilt.
"Yes."
"Are the jewels real, too?"
"Yes."
"Woo-ee, I see now why yer looking for something like this!" She pulled out a random towel easily sliced it in half. "High quality stuff..."
"That's enough testing. Have you seen it or not?"
"Get your big girl panties out of a bunch, honey...and take your hands out of your pockets. You can never trust a person with their hands in their pockets." (Y/n) obeyed, not without glaring at her senior.
"Unfortunately, I haven't seen a beauty like this around here."
(Y/n) maintained an harsh stare. "Is that so?" She abruptly slammed cash down on the counter, her gaze unwavering. Ellie snickered and slid the cash towards her.
"Yes, it is, honey. Good job on your little game of 'rough-and-tough,' though. Almost had me going there! Haha!" (Y/n), with her patience exhausted, scowled. "You know, for some hot-shot A-Class hero, you've got the eyes of a criminal." (Y/n) froze. "If I had known no better, I'd have taken for you for the real-deal! Hahahaha!!" Her self-righteous laugh was cut short by the sound of the bells above the door ringing.
"Come again!"
(Y/n) quickly walked down the sidewalk and threw her hood back up, concealing her face. She had made it quite a distance before she stopped, kicked the wall of an adjacent building, shaking from fury, and continued walking.
