After hanging out with Ryo and Akira, Ryo asked if I needed a ride home. With it being somewhat late already, I said yes. Akira joined because he needed a ride home, too. In the car, I again felt slightly uncomfortable. It is a white orochi, and very expensive. My family is not poor to the point of not being able to afford food, but I definitely cannot buy expensive things like Ryo can. "Well, how's school (Y/N)?" Akira, presumably to break the awkward tension in the air, asks me. "Oh well," my hand fidgets the short hairs on my neck, "I'm doing good with grades, or somewhat good. I just can't seem to get the hang of people. If you know what I'm saying." Akira nods, nibbling on his thumb. "Not many close friends then." Ryo buds in. Yeah, could've said that instead. "Exactly. Perhaps I'm just not a people person." I expected Akira to speak but Ryo did instead. "I don't think your problem is that you're not a people person. You're friendly and approachable." He makes strong eye contact with me in the rearview mirror. "I think it's everyone else that's the problem." His voice stayed monotonous the entire time he spoke, but his words seem reasonable to me. We sat in silence for the rest of the ride, silently playing some radio hosts' voices. "Thank you so much for the ride home, it was nice getting to know you Ryo. Akira, will I see you around?" Akira smiles wide, beautiful teeth sharp. His eyes glint as he nods. "Of course! You're not getting rid of me." They drive off when I open the front door.
"(Y/N)? (Y/N)!" Mom comes running, the worry in her face and voice make me feel guilty. "Mom, I'm so sorry. I got chased and dropped my phone, but Akira and his friend Ryo came to help me." She hugs me tight and sighs, she smells like her signature perfume. "I was going to call the police... was it the same boy that chased you again?" I follow her to the living room. "No, well yes. One of them was him, I heard him, but there were two other boys too. His friends, I think." Mom immediately grabs her laptop. "Okay, I'm writing to the school now. If they don't do something about it this time, I swear-" she cuts herself off, breathing in. "Then I will call the police. And file a report. And make you sign a restraining order." I smile a little, mom loosens up. "I'm going to my room, I'll look for my phone tomorrow. Goodnight, I love you."
As I lay in my bed, I felt the tiredness taking over. My head hurts a little, so I grab the water bottle on the nightstand and gulp it down. It's lukewarm, but fine to drink. Drifting into sleep, already starting to dream. I'm half awake, but otherwise I am gone. Faces, contorted faces with so many colors, far too many colors. Sharp teeth smile at me, they welcome me with claws, hooves, spikes and wings. Some bow down with their mighty horns, I feel authoritative. I can't move in the dream, my dream makes me move, like in a film. Looking to my right, there's another monster. The other monsters around us look up at him in pure adoration, sly eyes blink in submission. To my left, there seems to be a blinding light. Soft, pure white feathers tickle at my left arm and side, energy buzzes from the light source. Piercing blue eyes meet mine. I woke up in a cold sweat.

Two chapters in one day?! oh wow, I guess you all deserve it for waiting for me :) It's a short chapter, do you interpret the dream as a warning or a promise?
