School today was one of the worst. Sam and I are in my room doing homework, my parents actually like and trust him. Autumn is at the bookstore with Vic looking for some books to obviously buy.
Sam and I haven't said anything the whole day but we were together, not really awkward just took a lot to process.
Sam's P.O.V
I felt useless, she didn't want me to help her, she didn't want me to see her cry but that was what I loved about Kadey, she's strong but too strong.
We were in her room, doing some homework, it was quiet but not the awkward type. I glanced at her who was busy doing an essay in Literature. She flipped her hair back since it was getting in her way, I smiled since she did it so perfectly.
Braden doesn't know what he lost here, he lost a imperfectly perfect girl who is just different from those typical girls, she's different but I love her for that. It's strange that Kadey and I became friends in just a day because of a science activity but I don't regret that day. Kadey doesn't know this but when she left me with her parents to get some water, her parents told me that they wished we were together instead of them and Braden, I am not bragging and I don't want to brag but I wish we were too but now is not the right time.
"Kadey..." I stopped writing.
"Yeah?" She quietly replied but kept on writing.
"Can you tell me now?" I asked.
She stopped writing and sighed, "Okay..." I leaned against the wall and she leaned against me, she loved doing this since she said that I was like a pillow. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and she closed her eyes.
"He used me to try to get over Amy. He never really loved me, all what we had was fake and...it really hurt. I couldn't control the rage inside that's why I punched a locker and I ended up with a bandaged fist"
I leaned my head onto hers, "He lost a rare jem" I said.
"Just...shh..." Kadey was in tears now, all I could by now is stay with her until she's fine.
"Sam?'' I looked at Kadey who was also looking at me.
"Yeah?" We were inches away and I had the urge to kiss her but I was fighting that urge. She didn't say anything for the moment. Our eyes locked and there her beauty was shining. kiss her kiss her kiss her. And so I did, I crashed my lips onto hers and call it stupid or cliché but the sparks were powerful and this moment right now was just speechless.
We pulled apart, it was quiet at first but then for some reason we both started to laugh.
"You douche"
"Hahaha yeah right" I messed up her hair making her slap my hand off and squeezing my two cheeks together.
"Sammy is a douchebag but this douchebag is my Sammy" Kadey sang then she gave me a quick kiss and let go.
"DINNER!" Mrs. Hail shouted. We both jumped out of bed and raced down the stairs.
"Woah kids! Slow down there's plenty of food to eat" Mr. Hail chuckled.
"Autumn's not home yet?" Kadey asked, motioning me to take a seat.
"Not yet" Mrs. Hail placed the plate of steak on the table.
Kadey looked at me and smiled.

After dinner I told Sam that I'd drive him home since his house is two blocks from here and I have no idea how he was not tired from walking to his house to my place to school. When I finally got Sam to agree, I borrowed Dad's car and we drove off.
"You know you don't have to" Sam said.
"I want to, okay? Plus I owe you from this morning" I turned on the radio and an up beat song came on and we both sang along.
After that kiss from awhile ago, I didn't really know what Sam and I were from then on so I just laughed it off. Autumn and Vic are taking a lot of time in that bookstore.
My phone rang and I looked at the caller ID Autumn.
"Hey sis" I said.
"Could you pick me up?" Autumn sounded wrong, she sounded like she was crying.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Just pick me up!" I put my phone away and hung up.
Drops of rain suddenly splashed.
"Is something wrong?" Sam turned to face me.
"It was Autumn, she wants me to pick her up" But that was all I said, I didn't want him to worry.
As soon as we got to his house, he thanked me and we said our good byes. Rain was already pouring down and it was hard to see since it was heavy rain but I managed to get to the highway.
"Phone's dead... shit" I said to myself.
The rain was getting heavier as I took a turn, my windshield got stuck but I was continuously driving. As soon as my windshield started to work again a truck was right in front of me and from then everything turned pitch black.
