Chapter Six: Remember December

I got out of the hospital a few weeks later, a girl named Melanie who says she's my cousin picked me up and we drove back to my house.

"How are you, Kadey?" Melanie spoke as she focused on the road.

"I feel alright. You?" I said.

"I'm doing good" She smiled. And there our conversation ended, it wasn't that it was awkward but we didn't know what else to say rather than How are you.

We arrived at my house and saw everyone outside waiting. Melanie parked the car, as I got out a small breeze went by and a memory flashed before my eyes.

(flashback)

"Kadey come back!" He laughed as he rode on his skateboard trying to catch me.

"Not in a million years" I ran faster until I realized that we've reached the park. I tripped and softly landed on the grass, I laughed at how clumsy I was and I stayed laid on the grass looking up at the sky.

"Karma" He towered over me. He sat down and I put my head on his lap and we stayed like that.

A small breeze came and it was so cooling, I closed my eyes and took in everything that was happening.

"Can I have that kiss now?" He asked, smirking. I opened my eyes, lifted myself up and crashed our lips together. Butterflies and sparks. I pulled away after.

"Happy now?" I chuckled.

"Yeah, as long as you're here with me I know I'll be okay" He winked.

"Song reference ahaha nice try" I layed back down.

I snapped back to reality by my family calling me, my eyes wandered around when I saw a skateboard held by a boy, the skateboard was familiar.

"Let's all go inside" Dad happily said. And we all did. I was sat down on the couch and they all sat as well.

"So what do you want to know first?" My sister, Autumn? asked

"I don't know where to begin with" I brushed my hair back with my hand.

"Do I... uh..." I paused.

"Do you?" They all said in unison.

I breathed, "Do I have a boyfriend?" I blushed as I asked.

Autumn smiled while my parents looked at my sister. Sam and this other boy who I don't remember the name glanced at each other.

"No you don't" Autumn answered.

"Oh okay then..." I looked down and bit my bottom lip.

After having a lovely talk with everyone they all went separately in this house. Autumn and her boyfriend, Mom and Dad. But Sam and this boy stuck with me.

"Hey" I looked at the boy. Who was always looking at me.

"Yes?" He smiled.

"I was wondering what your name was, I've been thinking about it since awhile ago" I said.

"Braden"

I smiled and looked away now. There wasn't anything else to say honestly, I was to nervous to ask about the memory I saw it's a bit embarrassing.

"What do you remember, Kadey?" Sam broke off the awkwardness.

"I..-" Do I say it? If I do then how do I begin?
