Chapter Thirteen

Walking through the halls of the school, I noticed that one of the classroom doors was wide open. Curiosity got to me and I took a peek inside. I was surprised to see a figure hunched back with only the light from his or her light from his phone as the only resource of light in this room. I got a little bit closer to take a good look to see if I knew this person. Thanks to the device he was holding in his hands it illuminated his face but not quite enough for me to see clearly. I cautiously walked up to where he was seated and tapped his shoulder. His head shot up so quickly that I was scared that he'll end up with a neck pain.

Once he turned around I quickly recognized who this was; dark spiky brown hair, olive skin, deep brown eyes. Looking at him from head to toe I bit my lip. This boy has been working out cuz daaam those muscles.

It was the one and only , Matthew Lee Espinosa. He must have noticed I was checking him out because when I reached back to look at him , he had a smirk like he just tuned into my thoughts. Dam you Matt and your muscles for distracting me. I suddenly just looked away , my cheeks flaming.

I always thought what would happen and what would I say the moment I talked to Matthew again but This was so unexpected and all I wanted to do was run and escape but I knew that would not fix anything. No more running and trying to escape the problems, it's time to face them. I could see by the way he was looking at me that he recognized me as we'll and that made my heart skip a beat , he knows who I am. I could feel the tension building up between us and all I could say was ," You're hot" Damm it Sav. I mentally face palmed myself.

His smirk spread wider , and it then turned into a sweet smile and he stared deeply with those gorgeous eyes into mine. I suddenly felt self conscious about myself and looked to the side of me.

"It's nice to see you again Matt ."

"We'll, I can't say the same to you." He said sweetly , running his fingers through his hair and I chuckled.

He continued.

"We'll I guess I'll see you around." He smirked before walking down the corridor , the smell of Axe trailing behind him.

Wait , that's it? No I've waited for this moment so much and no kisses? I knew it wasn't going to be rainbows and sunshines. But if he was going to be acting that way then I will too.

"I hope not." I called to his retreating back.

Matt glanced over his shoulder, his eyes shining mischievously. "I'm afraid you'll definitely be seeing a lot of me , that's a promise."

I opened my mouth to give a sarcastic reply but he was already turning the corridor and walking towards the courtyard. I let out a huff of annoyance and pulled at the sleeves of my shirt angrily. So that's how it's going to be , I see. Let the game start and may the odds be in your favor.

"You have a lot of explaining to do!" That was the first thing Melissa said to me after she had dragged me into the girls toilets. I had given Lola a look which screamed help me! But it was too late, Raquel and Melissa had already slammed the door on her stunned face. They had forced me into the corner so that my back was digging painfully into the sinks. They had the same expression on their faces , narrowed accusing eyes and flared nostrils.

"How is it that you and Matt talked without you informing us first?" Melissa questioned.

"And how is it that you two didn't get together?" Raquel added . I would have laughed at her appalled expression if I wasn't fuming about my encounter with the sweet cutie that was Matthew Espinosa.

"He was being a complete jerk! and besides that we didn't even have a civilized conversation.

I had just said Hi when out of nowhere he's just all like 'well Ill see you around' and left." I seethed. Melissa and Raquel considered my words for a moment before realization flashed in their eyes; it was as if a light bulb had just come to life above their heads.
