Savannahs POV:

It had been at least an hour since we had arrived to the bar and neither of us had taken in very much beer. You guessed right ladies and gentlemen. After what happened with Jack , Carter brought me here to have the time of my life and to get my mind off of everything. So far it was not working , the beer that was constantly in my body was making me overthink and I honestly didn't need that right now.

"Carter," I began.

"What?" he asked innocently.

"We should just head home , its been a long day."

He gave a sympathetic look and nodded.Carter got out of his seat and offered me his hand , "Lets go beautiful."

A smile crept up to my lips as we walked back to his car.

I pressed my forehead against the passenger - side window and let my eyes slip over the dark world flying against me. Its currently 11pm and I am extremely tired but after we got out of the bar I didn't want to go home , just yet. So Carter told me he was just going to drive around and whenever I wanted to go home to just let him know. As my eyelids began to flutter closed , a green sign caught my attention. I shot straight up on my seat.

"Carter, Stop! It's a Starbucks!"

Startled by my sudden outburst , Carter accidentally jerked the wheel to the left, and the car swerved a foot into the next lane. There was barely any traffic to crowd the 11pm streets , but I could see the surprise on Carter's face.

"Jeez Savannah you could have got us killed," Carter said letting out a breath of relief when he successfully pulled his car back into the right lane. Then he flipped his blinker on and turned into the parking lot. "That scared the crap out of me."

"Sorry," I answered , a smile playing on my lips. "Coffee's on me , what do you want?"

"Just a regular cup of Joe. None of that creamer shit."

I wrinkled my nose. "Thats disgusting" I told him as I unbuckled my seatbelt.

"Thats how you're supposed to drink it," he told me a he settled back into his seat to wait.

Shaking my head while laughing , I climbed out of the car and headed towards the shop. When I stepped inside, the bell rang above me. A grin slowly tugged at the corners of my lips as the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled my nose and perked me up. Nothing better than Starbucks to cheer me up.

There was one employee behind the counter , a middle aged women with fluffy hair , who was taking the order of the only other customer in the shop.

As I waited for my turn , I studied the boy in front of me. He was tall and lean and must be around my age, but I couldn't get a good look at his face. Soft silky brown hair poured out of a beanie and he was wearing a white t-shirt, designer jeans , and a pair of black vans:simple but stylish.

Thats when reality hit me.It was Matthew. I couldn't help but look him up and down a second time. Damn you Matt for being so irresistible. When he ordered and moved aside , I quickly glanced away not wanting to be caught staring at his butt.

He turned, finally noticing I was standing behind him , and my breath caught in my throat. I tried to swallow and get more air into my lungs but then he smiled. It was one of those full face smiles. His smile could knock any girl off their feet. Not that that doesn't happen. All I could do was stare like an idiot.

His gaze made me squirm. Trying my best to ignore Matt's staring I stepped up to the counter.

"Hello , what can I get for you today?" the woman asked politely.
