a/n: okay i just want to say this because people are always commenting about who they want olivia to end up with (which is absolutely fine and i encourage it) but i don't want to make people think i haven't looked/listened to their comments but basically i've already chosen who olivia will end up with in the end and i have since the beginning. obviously no matter the choice not everyone will agree bc everyone has their fave islanders but i do hope you all enjoy the story anyways! also thank you for 2k reads it's crazy! xx
also obviously to accommodate for olivia in this story some people won't be in the couple they were in irl.

The next evening all the islanders are gathered around the fire pit and Caroline Flack arrives for the dreaded recoupling after getting a text that afternoon.
"Good evening everyone." says Caroline with a smile. "Obviously as you know your time getting to know the new islanders is over and you will now have to decide if you want to stick with the person you were coupled up with or if you want to couple up with one of the new boys. That being said, boys please line up in front of the girls."
The boys do so and Olivia wipes her sweaty hands on her legs, nervous as hell.
"You okay babe?" asks Samira.
"I'm just really nervous. I think I know what I want to do but whatever happens it's still not going to be ideal you know?"
"I know girl but you've got this okay? Whatever you chose to do it'll be the right decision."
"Thanks Sam." replies Olivia as she hugs her. "I'm happy you found Frankie because you two are so cute."
"Aw love ya."
"Adam had been left single since Zara left so let's see who he decided to recouple with." said Caroline as Adam walks in with a brunette with beautiful tattoos .
"Everyone welcome Darylle."
Everyone smiles at the two and they go sit.
The first girl up is Megan. "Megan, you had been left single since Eyal left but you had been cracking on with Wes. Would you like to recouple with a new boy or stay single to be with Wes?" asks Caroline.
"I only really had a day with Wes whereas I had three days with the new boys and there's one boy I did get on really well with. So I'd like to recouple with Alex." she says and everyone claps as the new couple sit together.
Next it's Olivia's turn. "Olivia, you had been the new girl and were single. However, you had been getting very close to Alex. Do you want to stay single and be with Alex or would you like to recouple with a new boys?"
Olivia takes a deep breath and crosses her hands in front of her to hide her shaking. "When the boys first left for Casa Amor I was very shocked since I had only really had a few hours alone with Alex. At first I was determined to not let it change anything between us but then we got the video from Casa Amor. That video broke my heart but one boys in particular was there to cheer me up. We get along very well and I'd like to see where things go. So, I'd like to recouple with... Jack."
Jack grins at her and she gives him a small smile. He hugs her as the two sit down as the others clap. Dani grabs her hands and gives her a smile. "You did so well babe."
Laura is up next. "Laura you had been coupled up with Wes but you two had broken up. Would you like to recouple?"
"I would like to recouple. I think because Wes and I were no longer in a romantic relationship it was the perfect time for new boys to come in. I've had a great past few days getting to know this boys and I'm excited to see where it goes. So the boys I'd like to couple up with is... Dean."
Everyone claps and the two sit down. "Let's see what Wes decided to do."
All the islanders look over to the entrance to the garden and see Wes walkout alone. Olivia hears Megan gasp.
"As you can see Laura has decided to recouple which makes you now single." Caroline tells Wes. "and Megan has also recoupled. How you feeling?"
"We had the opportunity to have some special but it is how it is." says Wes trying not to look bothered.
Next is Samira. "Samira, you were couples up with Sam but have had the past few days to get to know new boys. Would you like to stick with Sam or recouple?"
"Although Sam is a great guy I do think I have more of a connection with a new guy in here. That being said I'm going to recouple with Frankie."
Olivia smiles as the two kiss and sit down. Sam walks in with a new girl.
Next it's Ellie's turn. "Ellie, you were coupled up with Alex before but you guys had broken things off and Alex had been getting close to Olivia. Would you like to stick with Alex or would you like to couple up with one of the new boys?"
Ellie ends up coupling up with Charlie which is no surprise as the two had been getting really close. "Let's see what Alex decided to do."
Olivia's breath hitches in her throat and Jack gives her a reassuring squeeze as does Dani. Olivia keeps her eyes fixed on the entrance and soon recognises Alex by his tall frame but as he emerges he's holding hands with a blonde girl in a blue dress. Olivia's heart drops and she locks eyes with Alex as he stops by Caroline. He's able to see a flash hurt in Olivia's eyes but she quickly breaks eye contact and looks at the floor, taking a deep breath before biting her lip and looking at Caroline, completely ignoring Alex.
"Alex, you've decided to recouple with Grace. As you can see Ellie has to decided to recouple with Charlie but Olivia has also decided to recouple with new boys Jack."
Alex glances at Olivia but she just looks at her hands, picking at her nails. Alex and Grace sit down and Jack kisses Olivia on the temple. "It's going to be okay Liv. It's his loss."
Next is Dani and Olivia grabs her best friend's hand before letting her get up.
"Jack left the villa as not only the person you were coupled up with but also your boyfriend. So Dani, will you recouple or stick with Jack."
"I'm gonna stick with Jack." she breathes out quickly before looking over to the entrance. Soon enough, Jack emerges alone and everyone smiles. He rushes over to Dani and kisses and hugs her.
Olivia grins at the two as they sit down.
The last person up is Georgia who decides to stay loyal to Josh. However he comes back with new girl Kaz and everyone gasps. Josh looks very timid and Georgia just takes a deep breath before turning around to keep from crying.
"You've fucked it." she whispers to Josh, full of anger.
As the recoupling ends and Caroline leaves the islanders disperse. Olivia heads to a day bed with Dani, old Jack and new Jack.
"I'm so happy to see you two together." says Olivia with a smile. "At least there was something happy in this shit show."
The others laugh as both Jacks wrap their arms around their partners. "So where are you from?" asks old Jack to his name twin.
"London."
"Oh cool. What–" before Jack can finishes his question the group hears someone clear their voice and they all look up to see Alex.
"Hey could I talk to Olivia for a minute."
Olivia's face hardens. "No you can't." she says abruptly "Please excuse me." She sits up and walks off into the villa and Jack quickly follows leaving Alex with Dani and Jack.
"What the hell did you do mate." Dani says with a sigh.
