She's My Best Friend

Part 2

*A few weeks later*

Kindergarten had started for Bucky and Jolie he introduced Jolie to Nat and Wanda and Steve and Sam. One day at recess a girl named Dot was picking on Jolie and calling her names and pulling her ponytail and it made Jolie cry and Bucky heard her crying and he sat beside her and said "What's wrong Jolie?"

"Some girl was mean to me and she pulled my hair and it hurt and she called me mean names." Jolie said through tears. Bucky hugged her and said "Don't you worry Jolie I will go talk to her." 

Bucky walked over to where Dot was playing with her friends and said "Dot why are you picking on Jolie she's not done anything to you." 

"Why does it matter do you like her or something?" Dot said

"Yes she's my friend and it's not nice to call people names and pull their hair." Bucky said

"Oh did she cry to you Bucky she's such a baby. No wonder she doesn't have a daddy." Dot said

"That's not nice Dot." Nat said as she came up behind Bucky

"Oh you like her too..maybe you all should just go play with her and leave me alone." Dot said

For the next several weeks Dot picked on Jolie and everytime she did Bucky and Nat would stand up for Jolie. Her mama finally said "Jolie honey why don't you stand up for yourself or tell a teacher?"

"Cause if I do something I will be the one that gets in trouble." she said 

The next day Dot had her friends help her pick on Jolie at recess and Bucky finally went to a teacher and tugged on her dress and said "Are you going to say something to them for picking on Jolie." 

The teacher saw Dot and her friends pulling Jolie's ponytail and pinching her and calling her names. "Hey girls! That's enough!." Mrs Carter said as she walked over to where they were and they stopped and she said "I will not have you picking on Jolie anymore I have talked to her mama you girls will not be allowed at recess anymore till you can learn to play nice. Jolie is new here and doesn't need you all bullying her." 

Jolie ran and hid under the slide and Bucky found her and said "Are you ok Jolie?"

"Yeah I didn't know that my mama called Mrs Carter. Now they are really going to pick on me once she lets them play again." Jolie said through tears 

Bucky knelt down in front of her and sat on his knees and said "Don't cry Jolie I'm your friend and so is Nat and Steve and Wanda and Sam we won't let them hurt you." She smiled at him and "thank you Bucky." He hugged her and said "I will always be your friend Jolie." 

Later that day after coloring in the treehouse Bucky said "Hey Jolie do you want to lay with me in my mommy's hammock. We can look at the stars." 

"That sounds like fun." she said and they both climbed up in the hammock and it swung them both back and forth cause they were so small. All the swinging it was doing made them fall asleep as Bucky held her hand when she said she was afraid of the dark. Susan came over to the house when Jolie didn't come home at sunset and Winnie hadn't noticed that Bucky hadn't come in yet. She said "Oh no Susan I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I didn't realize how late it had gotten. I worked all day at the hospital."

They both went outside and saw them in them in the hammock asleep. "oh my gosh Winnie look at them so sweet. She said Bucky has been standing up for her at school cause a little girl keeps picking on her. He told me earlier when I picked them up that he had hoped that I wouldn't cut her hair just cause Dot keeps picking on her and pulling her hair cause he said he loves Jolie's hair." 

"Oh he does Susan he talks about how he loves her hair all the time." Winnie said 

Susan and Winnie picked both of them up and they hands stayed connected "Oh gosh they are going to be life long friends I believe it Susan." Winnie said when she seen that even though they both had their kids over their shoulders they were still holding each other's hands. 

"It's time to let go baby..you need let' go Bucky." Winnie said 

"Jolie baby let go of Bucky's hand." Susan said 

They both let go and he whispered "Goodnight Jolie"

"Goodnight Bucky." she whispered back 

They loved falling asleep in the hammock after school that Winnie got quite a few pictures of them sleeping in it till it got cold. They could no longer play in the treehouse or sleep in the hammock. Jolie would play cars and color with Bucky inside his house and if they played at her house he didn't mind to play with her kitchen or baby dolls with her.
