20 YEARS AGO -[1996]

Min Hyo was a cheerful young man, loved dearly by all people who surrounded him, especially his wife Nam Yong. After work, they would always hang out together with their little boy, Yoongi.

He feared being betrayed, he kept his true identity hidden and even the fact that he had a little family. He had always thought that his illness would stop him from accomplishing his dream of being a policeman. But, due to some mistake and his faith, he overcame being caught: now that he had worked for his country more than 6 years.

His wife was about to give birth to her second child at that time when he recieved a call to a trial as a witness. He assisted to an assault when he was back from work, he thought that he'd become a hero if he tries to arrest the criminal, it turned out that he became one after they found out about his illness during the trial.. A policeman being colour-blind is a huge mistake. Above all of this, his family was japanese.

The journalists as well as the society went against the infamous man. And, like in every unluky man's life he was sentenced to a year to prison after trying to steal some food.

Nam Yong was left behind with two children, Min Yoongi and Min Hee. The woman was severely ill, the little amount of food she found, she gave it up all to her children. Min Hyo ordered her to go to some other city, or else someone will surely find out about them.

The mother was on the death bed. Probably knowing that the father won't come again, she gave up the children. Min Yoongi was handed to her older sister while Hee was welcomed by a wealthy and kind old man.

The rich man employed a nanny for the little girl who was two years old, the nanny was so caring and protective, a perfect example for a good mother. She, also, had a little child celled Hoseok who came often to play with Hee.

Later when the old man grew even sicker than he ever was, his family's greed grew bigger: they gave the child to the nanny once for all. [2001]
