Hannah p.o.v
The footsteps ends and granny comes out of the darkness.
"Hello Hannah",Granny says her voice all to calm.
"Let me go you creep",I snarl back at her.
Granny only stares at me. "Hannah darling. I didn't want to have to do this but-",Granny cut off there. She then took out a blood stained ax. "Night Hannah",She's says. I close my eyes and prepare myslef for mind numbing pain.
But it never came. The only thing that came was Granny screaming. I look up and see Grandpa attacking Granny with a two by four. "DIE YOU OLD HAG"Grandpa yells as Granny collapses. He then breaks my chains and helps me up.
"Thank you so much Brandon",I say and hug him. He just pushes me away. "Go upstairs and unlock the door. There's no time to lose",He says. I nod and run upstairs. Brandon is close behind me. I punch in the code. I hear groaning from the basement. I take off all three boards. I hear growling. I cut the wire. I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. I unlock the padlock. I hear the creak of the basement door.
I unlock the master lock. I hear granny behind us. I kick open the door and sprint into the dark woods. Brandon stays close behind me.
Behind us I hear Granny cursing.
Me and Brandon keep running till were deep in the woods.
Brandon looks ready to fall over.
I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Are you alright",I ask. He nods. I count all the things in my pockets. I look back to Brandon and see he's out cold. I sigh and decide to let him sleep.
I look to the sky. Through he trees i can see a full moon and the stars. My heart then aches. I think to my dad and grandpa. My legal gardians. I never knew my mom. She died when I was little.
I then pick up a log. Tonight's gonna be a long night.
