Leo felt dead.

He was surprised that he wasn't dead. Dirt Face had been torturing him for hours. After that,for some odd reason, she healed him. Unfortunately there was absolutely no way out. No wonder she thought it was safe to heal me. Then a Cyclopes entered through the wall. He took out his hammer. I slowly backed away. Probably phase 2 of torture time. Then he threw his hammer and knocked me out.

I came to in a dream. I was back in the workshop where my mom died. I knew what going to happen, which made it about ten times worse. I saw her go into the room and the door lock behind her. I saw Gaea taunting younger me. I saw my mom die.

Queen Dirt Face repeated this over and over till I was a sobbing mess. Then the picture changed and I saw Calypso, on her island, sitting with another guy. He was blonde and had a scar down the side of his face. He made me look like a piece of trash. Of course I wasn't the best looking guy anyway but still. Then they kissed. I felt as if my heart was being ripped out of my chest.

"See, son of Hephaestus. See what the girl you love thinks about you."

"Lies!" I choked though tears "it's all a lie!"

"Oh my poor, ignorant Leo" she purred "don't you see? Nobody cares for you! Now lets we should see what your friends think about you, shall we?"

The scene shifted again. This time we where in the meeting room of the Argo II."There's no way we can hope to save him. And to be honest, I don't really think we should try." Frank said.

"Yeah your right Frank. The only reason we need Leo is to steer the ship. Annabeth could do that" Jason agreed.

I gasped. Jason was my best friend. I never thought he would ever say anything like that. Tears started to flow again.

"Yep, you two are right." Piper said, causing me to cry even harder. "Leo's always been annoying. He is probably the one who will mess up and cause us to fail on our quest."

Soon everyone was agreeing that Frank was right and I should die because I wasn't needed. Right before Percy could state his agreement, I yelled "stop Gaea. Please stop, please! I can't take any more!"

She turned it off and looked at me, in an expression of mock concern.

"Not so loyal as you thought they were, no? Anyways, let's see something from the future."

I saw Camp Half-Blood in Flames. The big house was crashing down, everything smelled like smoke and all the campers were running. We zoomed in on the cause and I stifled a gasp. It was me. I wasn't possessed or anything. I was doing it all at my own free will. I was so shocked that I couldn't move or speak or cry. I couldn't do anything.

"Now Leo, let's see what would happen if you were to join me."

The scene changed again. This time I looked a little older. Calypso and I were holding hands, walking down a beach. We were on a gigantic island, and we owned all of it. I dropped down on to one knee and asked "will you marry me?" She agreed, and she looked so happy. Next. Few years past. I was holding a little girl. She was sleeping as I walked up a trail. I opened a door and saw my mom. Then the scene changed back to Gaea's face.

"I can grant all of this to you Leo. All you have to do is join me."

Then the face of a goddess appeared. She said "hello Leo. My name is Hestia, the goddess of the hearth. As you know, fire can be used to create and to kill. But I will give you the ability to also heal with fire. I cannot talk long. Ask me any questions you may have when we meet next. Good-bye, Leo Valdez."

I was shocked to say the least. Then Gaea said "Decide, Valdez. Decide."

"Never!" I said.

She said "I hoped you would agree. Oh well, I suppose I will have to throw you into Tartarus. Remember, you can always change your mind."

Then I woke up to the floor sliding away. I struggled but I still fell through the gaping hole in the center of the room.
