"So from there, we run to the ship as fast as possible, no matter what happens from there. Was that right? Was it word for word? C'mon Sophie I need this perfect." Annabeth groaned in frustration.
I rolled my eyes and shook the 8 pages of back up plans she wrote last night in her face. "Annabeth, 8 stinking pages of back up plans. You memorized them word for word and read them to me 3 times non stop. It. Is. Fine." I said in annoyance.
I loved my best friend to death, but that was the problem with being best friends with the smartest child of Athena at the moment.
You learn things.
Brr, just thinking about it gives me chills. Not that I hated learning, I loved it. I was practically the second biggest nerd in the world with Annabeth in first. But, unlike her, I wasn't a total freak over it. I was smart, and that was all I needed.
Right now, we were on the Argo II, traveling to New Rome/Camp Jupiter. We were there to go pick up get Annabeth's boyfriend from there. He had been plucked from our Greek camp, Camp Half-Blood, and put into Camp Jupiter. He had lost all his memories, and In his place, we were given Jason Grace, praetor of New Rome whose memories had also been wiped clean by the one and only Goddess Hera.
Yup that's right, goddess.
The Greek and Roman gods and goddesses are real. There are even more different people out there, we were just one of the very important ones.
"Look, I know I'm over reacting. But you know well enough that the Romans hate us and can shoot us right out of the sky. You've only been at camp for a few months but I know you're smart enough to know that." She sighed.
"Then take a deep breath and exhale." I tell her.
She does as I say and then stays in her position for a few seconds. "Nah I'm still stressed." She admits.
I groan and put the plans on the chair next to me. She was now pacing back and forth on the deck in front of me, reciting every plan verbatim. I rolled my eyes and got up.
"I'm going to go walk around a bit before we land." I tell her as I got up.
She waved her hand at me, telling me to go. "Yeah whatever Sophie. Go ask Jason he might know where they are." She muttered totally oblivious to what I really said.
I crossed my arms and smirked. "I'm gonna go jump out the ship too, you know, fall 1,000 feet to the ground."
"That's amazing." She said
I rolled my eyes and walked over to my other friend Piper, who was practicing her charmspeak. Piper was a daughter of Aphrodite and was blessed with the power of charmspeaking, which gave her he power to make people do what she wanted through her words.
"Drop your weapons, we only want to talk." She said. Her voice sounded like chimes, and the power washed over me like a wave at high tide. She made me want to take off my silver charm bracelet and have a nice long chat.
"Sounding good Pipes." I chirped as I stood next to her by the railing. She turned to me and smiled brightly. "Thanks Sophie. It means a lot since if I have to talk I'll be talking to the whole Roman camp." She sighed.
"You'll be fine. Hopefully you won't have to talk at all with Percy being there. I don't think he would like it if his fellow Greeks were killed." I pointed out.
She shrugged. "Yeah I guess you're right. Maybe you'll even get claimed here! Wouldn't that be exciting to finally be able to know your parent?" She said suddenly excited.
I forced a smile and nodded. "Yup, that would be awesome." I lied.
Luckily enough, she bought it.
