"Dongsaeng? Dongsaeng-ah?" I woke up from the nightmare when I heard Jisung's voice. My eyes open and tears are still flowing down my face, "Oppa~" I start hugging him as soon as I saw his face. "Gajima, jebal...(Don't leave, please...)" He starts rubbing my back, he slowly pulls away from the hug and cups my face. He looks at me with concern in his eyes, "Yah, did you have another nightmare? Was it what the other boys said to you?" I nod while sniffling. He hugs me again to comfort me, "Geogjeong mala(Don't worry), they can't hurt you anymore. You're a strong, beautiful and successful young lady." He looks at me again and gives me a reassuring smile and I did the same, "You're even married to the most good looking guy in Korea. You're a smart and lucky girl." He giggles slightly at the last part. I wouldn't dare to tell him about what Daniel said. It would ruin their friendship and things would get even worse than it is now, "Speaking of which, do you want me to tell Daniel to send you home?" My eyes widen as I shook my head vigorously at his suggestion, "Aniyo, gwaenchanhaseubnida!(No, I'm good!) Oppa, jebal, don't tell him about this?" I beg Jisung while clasping my hands together. He looks at me weirdly and sighs, "Arrasseo... but don't do this again, arrasseo?" I nod as a response and he smiles," Neo gwaenchanha.(You're fine.) The doctor said you were just dehydrated cause you cried too much. He said you can go home and rest and you got the day off for today. Geunde... why are your nightmares coming back? Didn't it stopped a long time ago? Seolma.. did the boys who bullied you came back?!" He looks at me with wide eyes, I shook my head vigorously again and tell him to not worry about it.
Like I said before, I was never thin or fit when I was a child. Because of that, I was bullied verbally and the main bullies were the popular boys. The girls would ignore me because they didn't want to be associated with me. They didn't bully me, fortunately, they just pretended like I didn't exist, they didn't do me any harm. But my experience had made me feel traumatized by boys. I trust them to be my friends but I have never had a boyfriend before because of this.I had my real, true friends when I was in high school. They didn't care about my looks nor popularity and always help me whenever I had any problems. The nightmares I had stopped when I entered high school, however, Daniel's words and tone,whenever he talks to me, reminded me so much of my past. The nightmares started coming back like a meteor shower one night. I couldn't possibly tell Jisung about it. He didn't go to school for a week once just because he was too tired as he would wake up late at night to hug and console me whenever I had those nightmares.
"Geogjeong mala, Oppa~" I said softly while holding both of his hands with my two smaller ones and assuring him with a smile.
