Chapter 16

"Yah, have you seen the new on-training nutritionist? She's handling the male idols and man! She is hot!" 

"Careful Hyung, I heard that her brother is an idol too, just like us. We would be in big trouble if any of us flirt with her." 

"A girl like her would definitely be off-limits, bet she has a boyfriend. I mean, with her looks, it must be REALLY hard to keep his eyes off of her." 

"Isn't she dating Kim Mingyu?"

"Mwo??? I thought she's dating Cha Eunwoo? Geunyeoga aniya(Isn't she)?"

"I don't think she's dating anyone though. Maybe they're all just have the hots for her and are trying their luck."

"I heard that she actually slept with one of them."

"Aih! Seolma... doesn't seem like it..." "If she is, most likely it was Mingyu."

Daniel overheard everything. He is currently hanging out with Jisung and Jihoon at the lobby's café in their company's building. The other idols and trainees who are talking about Y/N are sitting at the table behind him. Jisung couldn't hear anything as they aren't loud enough for him to hear them. His face is red, fuming with anger, hands balled into fists with evident veins popping out. He breathes heavily as anger builds up in him. His mind and heart couldn't give him any definite emotion. Anger, sadness, frustration, hurt, his feelings are mixed and confused. Just when he thought he is going to finally take it easy on her, these stories start appearing around the male idols. Daniel knows that the things their saying about her could be mere rumours, however, he's having doubts about it. He's having doubts about Y/N. Her actions seem clear and honest but what she is truly thinking and feeling, only she knows. He just doesn't want to be played like last time. He was so in love, it hurt when she didn't actually love him back. It was all just her little game.

~Flashback~

Daniel had been together with Jennie for almost a year. He confessed to her about his feelings when he was a trainee while she had already debuted as an idol.They made it official after a few dates and she would always say that she loved him. She even promised to announce about their relationship once the dating ban has been lifted. His feelings for her grew even deeper after the dates that they would have, that he had decided he wanted to make her his by giving a special birthday present. Daniel bought her chocolates, flowers and the special present is inside a cute pastel pink gift bag that had heart shaped bubbles decorated on it. He walked to her company's building to give her the present he had prepared and as it's a surprise, he didn't tell her he was coming. 

He walked towards the studio that she said her group would be at for some vocal training, he stopped dead  in his tracks when he saw her with another guy on top of her. They were making-out. Wanted to barge in but couldn't. Daniel stayed frozen at the scene when suddenly they stopped and pulled away from each other, "Wow, that was fun." She said trying to catch her breath, "What can I say? I told you I wouldn't disappoint and give you an unforgettable birthday present." The guy said pulling Jennie by her waist and kissing her shoulders as she scoffs, "Oh please! It was just a make-out session. Nothing more. I bet my Daniel can give me an even better present." The guys pulled her towards him even closer, "Want it to be hotter? I can make you forget about the other guy." She bit her lips seductively at him, "Should I now?" "He won't know. Plus, didn't you say that you're using him for his money. His bought all kinds of stuff for you, hasn't he?" Daniel was hoping she'd say that it's not true. That she loves him and that kissing the guy was just a one time thing. 

Jennie scoffs and pulls away, "That guy needs to get a life! He basically texts and calls like his my dad and buys me everything even if I don't ask for it!" "Then why are you still with him?" She smirked and started running her hands on the guy's arms to his chin seductively, "Jagi, you're both good-looking, but sometimes, you just need to have a toy to play with whenever you're bored." The guy scoffs, "You're darker than Maleficent, you know that?" Daniel couldn't take it anymore, anger boiled inside of him. He barged into the room and threw a punch at the guy. Jennie stood in front of him, pushing him away from the guy,"Yah! Niel-ah! What do you think you're doing?!" Daniel glares at him and then diverts his glare to her, "We're over."
