She lived in a world who was ruled by werewolves, the human species had corrupted itself so it ended under the reign of supernatural creatures sooner than expected.
There was a prophesy that a certain human girl would be the powerful Alpha's mate. The one who would finally bring peace between humans and werewolves, who would bear the child of light.
That prophecy was soon to be fulfilled, once the young girl turned 18 she would be brought before the king for him to claim her. But there was a small problem,the king didn't yet know her name. So every 18 year old girl were to be brought to him in obedience to the law which stated "According to the ancient pack prophecy, every female once turned eighteen will be brought unto the king for inspection in possibility for her to be the promised one. The one who does not obey the law will be charged with the sentence of death".
Jana had just turned 18,and she had no clue of who the king was. It was said that the king was a ruthless and violent werewolf, deadly but beautiful. She was scared to be honest,she wouldn't be pleased with seeing the king less looking at him straight in the eyes.
Jana was quite a quirky girl,she had good grades, great friends and an amazing personality. One thing that wasn't the best for the world she lived in was her being too naive. She thought everyone had good intentions towards her,and that everyone wanted to be her friend. So basically she was too nice to be the king's bride...or mate as the supernatural world names it.
The whole world made the king a ruthless bastard, but behind those curtains all there was was a broken 22 year old man,who was sick and tired of not finding the love of his life. He used to be happy back then, when his mom was alive and his dad hadn't turned into an absolute mess, such a mess that he had to take over the throne before the age of 18.
Their encounter would be historic and dangerous even. How would the king hold himself together when the woman he had been waiting for so long had finally stepped foot in the castle?
